Ashmo October 17, 2013 October 17, 2013 I personally always "feel" around for Bud. It works for me, but my form of both passive and active forcing relies highly on symbolism, so it might be different for you.
Guest EnnervateIndustries October 18, 2013 October 18, 2013 For me, I can sense where Maia is in a way similar to when you're standing near someone, you can sort of just 'feel' them there. The effect stays regardless of where she is, sort of like a compass that points to where she is. Before I had visualized her mostly outside my head, she would have the same presence/pressure in a certain direction, but in my mind. That probably only makes sense to me.
curiousity October 19, 2013 October 19, 2013 Since the Tulpa doesn't take up physical space, don't worry about location. You won't "displace" them or anything. Try this, maybe: You know how in spy/action movies the hero is sometimes on his own sneaking around enemy HQ with only the radio on his ear as a means of talking to the other good guys? Do that. Pretend you've got that radio and you're talking to your Tulpa on it. You don't know where they are, but you can talk to them easily. It's even easier than pretending to be on the phone, since it's naturally hands-free.
Stryke October 19, 2013 October 19, 2013 I don't personally think that your tulpa's precise location is important at such an early stage as long as your thoughts are reaching her. When I started out I always assumed that Thunderfall was directly in front of me until I felt he was ready to start moving. As long as she is nearby and listening to what you say, then that should be all you need for now. With time you'll figure out your own way to locate her. For example, I've come to realise in the last few days that when I feel pressure or headaches from Thunder the part of my head that feels it is usually a rough indication of where he is relative to me, e.g. if I feel the pain in the back of my head then he's somewhere behind me. cartowheel October 19, 2013 October 19, 2013 I usually assume Chael is in our headspace if I can't feel him around me, and when I feel him around me, he's usually hovering a few feet in the air behind me, usually a little to my left.
