This is an extremely fascinating article I found about "The Philip Experiment," which took place in 1972, in which a group of parapsychologists created an experiment to see if they could create a collective tulpa and 'will' this character into existence. Their experiment yielded very fascinating results but did have some limitations as one would imagine.

I missed a nice chunk of this thread while I was doing other things, so I hope this hasn't been linked before. I'm sure the Philip experiment has been at least mentioned.

I wouldn't be so sure about that experiment.

mmm If materialization was posible for a tulpa, it should come afterwards imposition right?

I wouldn't be so sure about that experiment.

And? You wouldn't so sure about it what? That it took place? That it wasn't a conspiracy to take over the world? That it wasn't going to make you dinner? Writing it off just like that without saying why, and then suggesting something like 'materializing a tulpa after imposition' doesn't advance the conversation. The article was merely fascinating and supposedly did yield some results. Whether those results could be replicated or are credible is a different story, but if you're going to address it, include more please about why you're not so sure about it please. I personally find it fascinating because it is a recorded experiment done by educated people back in the 70s pertaining to tulpas and thoughtforms, and there hasn't really been another formally like it (as far as I know) to date. And it pertains to what we are talking about multiple people being able to experience/possibly view a tulpa.

I still can't see my twin tulpas yet, however one of my friends told me their step mom (who I have never met before) saw me and him and a girl with long black hair and goggles. Konata, (the stronger of the 2 twins) has long black hair and goggles and it was pretty spooky, ive never told my friend about my tulpas so he just thinks she mistook somone else who we didn't notice, i think it depends on how spiritually aware a person is, so yeah I do think other people can see your tulpas but they have to be fairly attuned to spiritual energy...

I think a better way to test this is to have... y'know... odder tulpalamas than humans.

Like Ponies

or anything you wouldn't expect to see on your everyday life. And hell, perhaps certain people have some crazy sixth sense about tulpalamas that makes them be able to see them. Like the Sixth Sense... the Shining...

"Mommy, I see tulpa people."

I actually believe that it's posible to materialize a tulpa or other ethereal beings, it's just us that don't know how.

I read the article but I haven't see that video in youtube yet, I'll take a look at it. Guess I'm not that open minded about seances, given what I've heared about them, but I'd try to do it, if I had the chance.

Ohhh ok I see :) Thanks for clarifying--I certainly understand there. Seances definitely do have a bad rap. I'm skeptical about them as well; though in this case I guess for me personally my fascination with the particular subject trumped my skepticism there (though of course I still don't have 'proof' or anything like that). I've heard this particular experiment mentioned/talked about on several highly reputable paranormal discussion radio shows (the balanced kind--not overly skeptical, not overly 'believer' by any means, but interested in real life/scientific basis for these things).

Also, have you heard about this one? Joshua P Warren, another guy in the same 'camp' of people I was mentioning regarding radio shows, was hired to perform some experiments prior to the release of the film, "The Apparition," and came up with some really strange and interesting results.

Apparently they set up some equipment/electrodes, etc. to amplify brainwaves coming from one person, and they focused it in this house onto this freaky little wood carved statue, and later people said they saw this figure in the house, without knowing the experiment took place. Here's also a great radio show episode on which Joshua talks with Darkness Radio about the experiment. http://www.twincitiesnewstalk.com/player/?mid=22367278

I DO definitely think there is something going on here, and thus that tulpas CAN be materialized. Even the case of Alexandra David-Neel and her fat friar tulpa seems to be evidential of this, so I definitely agree with you Mowgly.

Everything is connected through an expansive energy field. Everything that ever existed is made up of energy and is a part of this field. Tulpa are made exclusively from the energy you invest in them, so theoretically they'd be a part of this field.. so I would think they can be seen by anyone. Since a tulpa exists on some plane of energy (mental plane?) I should think it can become visible even to people who don't know of the tulpa's existence. Maybe by focusing on the intent that the tulpa be seen?

Also a few years ago I read about a group of people creating a 'thoughtform' named Daniel together. I don't know how it all turned out in the end, but they were basically making what sounds like a community tulpa. The thoughtform Daniel

Edit: the boy's name was Gareth :)
