I don't feel like I'm getting any progress when I force, and it's been over a week since Rachel spoke for the first time, and nothing has happened since. I wasn't expecting this to be easy, and I'm trying my best, but at times. It feels like my forcing is going one step forward and two steps back. I may not be doing it very well, and I'm curious to see if anyone can direct me to a good guide for this.

Just don't worry. That's it. It will happen. Remember, FAQ said a tulpa takes 100 hours to make. Things have changed since then, but keep that in mind.

These things, they take time.

What FAQ Man didn't realize is that the success of mental feats like creating a tulpa are heavily influenced by expectation. If you made a tulpa thinking it would be easy and quick, it would probably be easy and quick. The same goes for the opposite as well.

My Tulpa

And then it cuts to a scene where you're sitting in a padded cell.

One thing to note is there isn't really a way to "two steps backwards" unless you're doing something negative that effects your tulpa. Also one thing that helped me is writing down a goal, which can be something simple and passive, like having adventures while working on visualization, to something more complex and active, like possession. Either way as long as you're spending time with your tulpa you are making progress, just stay focused and work together/have a good time.

something that worked really well for me was simply BELIEVING that my tulpa could hear me, feel my feelings, speak, and had her own opinions and free will. This whole process is learning how to trick your brian. Having doubts will slow the process but knowing that she is a being that is sentient from the start will help a lot.

Name-Yuki

Sex-Female

Form2-Long white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, white wolf ears/tail, light blue jacket

Personality-Compassionate, calm, sarcastic, playful, protective, introverted

Stage-Sentient, vocal, working on possession

Alright. Don't worry about progress. When you go into a forcing session, go in with either optimism or neutrality. It doesn't matter if you don't seen to make progress; it takes serious neglect to regress. Enjoy the process and progress will come when it will. Sure, experiment with different methods to find ones that you like, but no-one can tell you what's best for you. There are plenty of different guides and exercises whatever your need. But you don't need to monitor your progress to closely. There's no need for grief if you didn't feel like you were productive; if it's a serious, long-term problem then shop around for new methods, or try your own. Otherwise, just keep a positive attitude and enjoy what you're doing.
