If you really want images in your sig, put a link. on the topic if images in signatures... They should just make a rule limiting the total signature size. (all images combined) e.g. Max Width: 400px Max Height: 100px Max Size: 200kb These are just example figures. It would be up to the admins/staff/Pleeb to decide where to set the bar.

GuessWho March 9, 2013 Author March 9, 2013 To give you some idea what I'm talking about... Small images in sigs won't hurt anyone. People could put 4 100x100 pics of their tulpas, or make a nice little plate with formatting and background for whatever text they currently have in their sigs. Personally I'd vote for a 600x150 limit as that's what I'm using on some other forums. Also, I could just paste something like this at the end of each post as a workaround:

TulpaCouple March 9, 2013 March 9, 2013 I've never really been too fond of image signatures personally. Even limiting size there still is a lot of chances for them to be distracting, rude, inappropriate, or illegal through the content alone. Yes that goes for any image posted anywhere, but then a signature would affect all of your posts at once. Of course there is the option for other users to hide all signatures if they wanted to avoid having the page look too distracting in colors and content on the page. There's a lot of ways for it to cause a lot of issues, but then again let's just continue hearing the discussion about it. I like the black bar spoilers as well, but I do know how incredibly useful the hidden spoiler button can be, especially for a big wall of text or multiple image files to protect people with slow computers. I'm all for that.
Lacquer March 9, 2013 March 9, 2013 I disabled signatures and avatars for that exact reason. There are people here that have signatures that are some 15 lines tall. That should be outlawed. When you have a signature big enough that it significantly increases the size of every post you make, there's a problem. Of course, I can't point out anyone right now, as I have them disabled, but I know it to be true.
