I'll answer for fennec because she isn't here right now. I think not being sure which form was really you might be what made things go wrong for you before. If you remember that both forms are you, you should be fine. :) Remember, you aren't just your form - you're a person, your mind and personality and thoughts and all that, and your form is just how you look. It's something you can change easily without actually changing who you are, so it's possible to have two or more forms and still be equally you with each. I hope that helps!
