Hi my name is Joao and i'm Portuguese (Ya know that small country next to Spain)

I live in the UK and as far as i can tell i'm the only person in my school who's a brony (Don't ask what it is i don't feel like explaining it) and who's thinking of making a Tulpa or in that matter even heard of Tulpae.

So getting back to the subject now that i've finished my small intro i have a question that will be without doubt a pain to answer, so overall i'd prefer advice rather than answers (Unless you can provide me with the answers i need) so, I've been working on my Tulpa's personality and image i went to this website where you make stuff you like and i told my self not to go with what i wanted but to choose what felt right, if that even makes any sense, this was so my tulpa could choose it's own look rather than me impose a look on it.

Now for the question i haven't got far into visualizing my Tulpa yet when i narrate to it or talk to it on walks from schools i get replies so for example this is more or less what happened today (I was talking to Melody through my mind)

Me: *Random and pointless chat* so do you agree with me or what?

Melody: Yup...

Me: Wait did you just talk?

Melody: Yup...

Me: ...

Melody: ....

Me: Damn it i must have parroted that reply!

Ok so that was a rough version of how things happened, but here's the cause for me to believe i was probably parroting, i've only been working on her appearance and personality in the last few days with a mixture of narrating and listening to music with her. So what do you guys think happened did i parrot Melody answering my question or did she really respond to my question?

Also do you guys have any tips on personality?

You're doubting Melody. Let her be herself.

It depends on what you consider parroting. Most would agree that parroting is nearly always a 100% conscious effort, its not something you can do on accident. If it feels like a spontaneous response, roll with it. It can be quite counter productive to doubt due to time.

Did you say it for them or force them to say it? No? Then it's not parrotting. Simple as that.

Just relax. Try 'feeling' for a response.

Don't bother asking babyluv. Maybe it was parroting, maybe it wasn't. The question is, should you be thinking about it, and the answer will more likely than not be no. Don't be a parotnoidededed parrot. If you parroted, so be it, but questioning a parroted response will only make it harder to tell when your tulpa has... y'know, given an actual response. Feeeel the powerful tulpas.

Just stay calm and listen.
