How can I train Parallel Processing? / More separation

Recommended Posts

I've been searching the forums for information, but I can't find anything to train these things besides playing chess with my tulpa or making her do math. Too difficult for us, even though she is capable to have her own ideas, speak to me fluently, and possess me, it is very difficult for us to... "Separate", and also it is very difficult for her to surprise me, I can always tell what kind of responses she will make.

So... Anyone here knows how to train Parallel Processing? It is possible to train it? Or better, how can we separate our consciousnesses a little more?

The best, and dare I say only way to train parallel processing is to parallel process.

Just keep doing it, and you'll eventually get better and better.

Math and chess may be hard now, but they'll get easier.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

There's a thread in the research section with a link to a Flash game thing where you and your tulpa count two different sets of balls. We've been using that, and it seems to be helping. At the very least their scores are improving.

Hmm... Thanks for the help!

Though I still don't know how can we "separate" a little more... Meh, it'll come with time I guess.

Asgardian had an idea that seemed to help some. The theory is that parallel processing can occur when your and the tulpa's preconscious thoughts are separate enough that they don't interfere with each other.

The idea is a bit of symbolism: make a wall of some sort in your mind, with you on one side and the tulpa on the other. This wall will block thoughts while still letting through mindvoice, speech, visuals, etc. A variation is a bubble around the tulpa rather than a wall; different symbol, same idea, same effect.

Like all symbolism, the effect gets stronger if you repeat it periodically.

Lyra: human female, ~17

Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee

Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her

Hm, I might try that, symbolism can be very helpful sometimes, thanks.

Thanks! That was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! :D

I'll give it a shot once I have the time.
