shalkek August 23, 2013 August 23, 2013 I noticed there's no mention about 'modern' tulpae on the wikipedia page. I think it would give us more credibility if someone edited it to include at least a mention of this site.
Semi-Nomadic August 23, 2013 August 23, 2013 *ahem* notability rules *ahem* reliable third-party sources *ahem* inb4 people begin complaining about wikipedia's rules
Guest Anonymous August 23, 2013 August 23, 2013 I believe it has been done before and the mention of tulpa.info was removed as it basically was just advertising. Can't really say I disagree too much with that decision. Maybe you'll have more luck if you refer to the new wiki, to stuff like the FAQ and such. Yes we have a wiki. It's wiki.tulpa.info
Sands August 23, 2013 August 23, 2013 >tulpae Yeah good luck trying to use that word anywhere. And yeah .info has been added there before but seriously. Do you expect it to stay. Do you want it to stay? The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
Guest Anonymous August 23, 2013 August 23, 2013 I've been looking through the change log of wikipedia and after seeing it my answer to Do you want it to stay? is jesus christ no. I think I should share some of the gems I found. Tulpae are also often become gosts that cum in da hots bodie Recently, there have appeared a few communities dedicated to researching this from a psychological perspective. Of them include Tulpa.Info and frequent threads, or generals, on 4chan's /mlp/ board. Many respectable personnel "lurk" there, yet the most knowladgeable one is one by the name of Jaden. Other notable tripfriends include NLD, the harem master, Ubermensch, the headless sex fiend, FDD, the resident pet of our favorite rapist tulpa, Flutters, and Oreo, who had sex with his humanized Rarity tulpa as Cherilee. There is also an emergent imageboard based on the /mlp/ threads called Tulpae.com. The modern Internet phenomenon has drawn criticism from various Anonymous in 4chan because some so-called "tulpamancers" decide on creating tulpae as romantic partners, and this is shamed by mainstream culture. Nevertheless, the tulpamancers continue to have sex and cuddles with their tulpae. And my personal favourite: Recently as of 2012, there have appeared a few people who have become bored of the "headmates" phenomenon (whereby they pretend to have dissociative identity disorder to receive attention on the internet) and have begun claiming to have "tulpas" - essentially identical but guaranteed to provoke more of a response than headmates because of the ridiculously amateur attitude towards Eastern philosophies. However, instead of having the intended effect of making them appear mystical and interesting, having "tulpas" actually makes them come across as a lying, attention seeking sorry-excuse for a person, who trivialises mental illness to feed their own burgeoning ego. Some sites that actively participate in their delusion include Tulpa.Info as well as the subreddit r/tulpas. By the way look at the change log yourself, it's pretty much "Added modern internet phenomenon, removed, added, removed, added, removed".
Sands August 23, 2013 August 23, 2013 10/10 Wikipedia page would read. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
Mr_White August 24, 2013 August 24, 2013 Stick it on the Tulpa page on ED if you want it on some wiki so badly. I'm surprised it's not even up there yet.
shalkek August 25, 2013 Author August 25, 2013 Yeah, okay, I get your points. I tried to put this site up on wikipedia a while back too but it got taken down. I thought it was because of bad writing. Stick it on the Tulpa page on ED if you want it on some wiki so badly. I'm surprised it's not even up there yet. If you mean Encyclopedia Dramatica, it's already on there.
Sands August 25, 2013 August 25, 2013 Speaking of edits clearly done by one of the people in our community (or some other tupper community I guess), I found this gem in the Wiktionary. Definition for tulpa, the first one the person listed: 1. A fully sentient, corporeal lifelong companion. Stemming from the Tibetan culture of tulpa-forcing, it is originally non-sentient and non-vocal, but grows as one spends more time with it. Essentially, a tulpa begins as a single fragment of the host's consciousness, and over time becomes an additional mind. It was removed 8 hours later. Neon_Spark September 15, 2013 September 15, 2013 I added a "Modern Tulpa" section to the Wikipedia entry. Tulpae Neon(Anthro): Working on... Something...
