I'm just asking this out of curiosity as a general thing.

I do not like to admit that I have more than 3 tulpa. I have 5 tulpa at the moment, and I'm working on a sixth after my last two are fully developed.

Now, just out of curiosity, is it just me or does having more than 3 tulpa seem to... ruin your reputation? It's almost as if most people who have 3+ tulpa are either roleplaying/faking (that's a whole other subject), and it seems to ruin the belief system of having 3+ tulpa for others. It's gotten to the point where if people ask me how many tulpa I have in private conversation, I usually only say I have two. Do you think that having a large amount of tulpa can possibly make you seem less legitimate?

Now, I know there's a difference between a person who creates tulpa and a person who is absolutely insane and creates 18 tulpa in one sitting. I do take my time with creation. I've been working on my two new tulpa for the past two weeks and they are slowly developing. It's not like I'm rushing through the process. They might have voices and forms already, but this is only because I have done the processes leading to form and voice 3 other times before.

Now, I have more questions related to the subject.

1, how many tulpa do you think is the limit?

2, do YOU personally feel that having a lot of tulpa is ridiculous?

Also, excuse my negligence to pluralize "tulpa". I see tulpa as a word like "sheep" that shouldn't be pluralized.

Welcome to tulpa.info, which in my opinion, is not the best tulpa place around.

Though surprisingly I've yet to run into this problem.

I have 9 tulpas.

1. There is not limit.

2. No... To a certain extent maybe... Like that guy I heard of with 123...

There are so many reasons why I try to leave this website yet I keep coming back. Anyhow, people like you make me seem more confident in my decisions to have a larger-than-normal amount of tulpa. It's comforting, I guess, that others out there besides me have similar amounts of tulpa.

And I've never run into a problem wherein people have taken my claims as illegimate. I simply just fear the problem might arise one day.

1. Around 3 for most people.

2. Yes.

1. Personally, 1-3, but again, similar threads have been made here.

2. Not really, but if it's done for gaining acceptance from others or eventually being worried about your reputation being ruined for certain amount of people, then yes, it's completely ridiculous.

I definitely feel like there is a stigma against having higher numbers of tulpa. I think having one tulpa is seen as the best, and up to three is acceptable. Higher than that and it seems like people don't take you seriously, which is a shame because some of the most interesting people in this community have more than three tulpa.

At the moment, I only have one tulpa (and a servitor), and I want to stick with just her until she's imposed. After she's imposed, I'd like to stick to just three tulpa, but I'm not sure I'll be able to. There are several ideas I'd like to try which might push me up to four tulpa. That's still several months off though.

I think there is a limit to how many tulpa you can have: that limit is the monkeysphere. This is not a limit that many of us will ever hit though, because most of us have a life outside of tulpa.

I try not to judge people by the number of tulpa they have. Like I said, many of the most interesting people on here have more than three.

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

Are you that insecure that despite knowing that this forum's resevoir of some of the most stubborn, conflicting, and emotional members, that making questions in this thread on whether or not having that many tulpas is ridiculous...why can't you learn how to appreciate your own existence and the tulpas you interact with?

Why do you need other people to justify your actions of making that amount of tulpas?

And reputation? Since when did this become about reputation? You hold on to some ranking/title to sustain and you're worried about your reputation being ruined? A person who's worried about that so much, it's kind of obvious that part of your motive with that many tulpa was for social acceptance?

The spoilered part; my experience has nothing to do with social acceptance. It has to do with me being a lonely person if anything, and me needing different personalities to talk to. What are you going on about? Unless you are not referring to me. I'm just really confused.

Then why are you bothered on people potentially not taking you seriously because of the amount of tulpa you have? If you want some different personalities to talk to, why not just be content with them and not worry about people's opinions?

At the moment, I only have Fench (and a servitor), and I want to stick with just her until she's imposed. After she's imposed, I'd like to stick to just three tulpa, but I'm not sure I'll be able to. Besides loneliness, what you said pretty much described my experience. Once I had 3 tulpa, I did not want to create any more tulpa. However, I felt curious and decided to make 2 more just 2 weeks ago. I would always repeatedly tell myself that I would only make 3, yet I made more.

I guess having a large( r ) amount of tulpa makes me respect those with large amounts as well. Of course, unless they have like 300-something tulpa. That's where it gets ridiculous. However, I do understand the concept of having 18-19 tulpa now, and how people deal with that many beings. I never understood that before.

I think it is partly because of social stigma and how people generally react to things that seem unbelievable in this whole tulpa thing (despite the base concept being unbelievable in the first place). I understand what you're trying to say - I really do. I posted this thread to ask for opinions on the matter and to see what people had to say about it.

Now, I have more questions related to the subject.

Kevin says: I only made one tulpa really. And she's made four more. That's an average of one every nine years. If people find it impossible to believe that you can make one additional tulpa after 9 or so years of effort then I'd say their 'disbelief threshold' is set a little high. Besides, I don't come here for respect - I'm here because I may be of use, and because my tulpas pretty much dragged me along with them.

I'd say there's no practical limit to the number of tulpas you can have, but I think keeping it to one a year (or so) might be a good idea. (or at least let your existing tulpas become independent before you start a new one.)

Meh. Just my opinion. And I'm an anomaly anyway - so what I say probably isn't applicable to anyone else in any case.
