By "others", I mean spirits, and other people via. telepathy.

I think its highly improbable that a tulpa can only exist within your mind, seeing how closely related they are to servitors, who work out of the minds boundaries.

I have expirienced person to person telepathy firsthand. So my belief on that will not change.

thanks!

Do you believe in magick?

In a you-, no...well, they can't, unfortunally.

Why not? Servitors can influence the thoughts of others. Why not Tulpae? I suppose I'm looking for an answer from someone who believes in telepathic ability.

Servitors can be seen on the astral plane, so why not Tulpas as well? It seems like the majority of this community believes only in the psychological tulpa phenomenon. There must be other views on the matter. It just doesnt make sense.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, however.

I can't give you a straight answer for the same reason that I strongly believe this site shouldn't have a meta board.

There is no proof here. There is nothing I, or anyone else can give you. Even if someone says they can, you still don't know--you have to take their word, and considering the amount of roleplayers there are in metaphysical communities in general, you can't really trust anyone.

I don't go for the metaphysical aspect of any of this, for the most part, but what I can say for certain is: if any of this meta stuff it's possible, find out on your own. Like I said--someone's word means nothing here.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

I disagree. And maybe this is why Sands says I'm too meta. I don't believe in the metaphysics stuff, but sometimes I try it, and I'm willing to admit that I could be wrong. And sometimes I think there are benefits to treating it like it's true.

I've known about tulpa for around ten years, and in that time, I've collected all the sources I could about the phenomena. Most of them are listed here. You'll notice that all but one are meta.

And that's the benefit of paying attention to metaphysics: sometimes there's an actual, verifiable phenomena, and only metaphysics keeps it alive for hundreds or thousands of years.

That's why I've posted in the psionics thread. That's why I post links to the psipog archives. I don't believe in psionics, or telekinesis, or telepathy, but when I make a psi-ball, I can physically feel it there -- I feel it more solidly than I feel my tulpa, and it takes a fraction of the time to make. I don't know what it is -- perhaps some psychological trick -- but there's something to that technique, and I'm going to keep studying it until I understand what.

Hi, my name's Chris, I'm new. Good to meet all of you!

Heads up everyone, I have complicated squidgy philosophies about metaphysics and science. I try my best to be pragmatic.

So, with that Dances-With-Dragons, I have questions. If you have had experiences with telepathy, and you know it to be real, and considering a tulpa is an extension of one's mind -or an entity created from it, why wouldn't they be able to? Might be something cool to experiment with. If it does work, cool, if it doesn't, could it another way?

Also about your telepathic experience - how did it work? What did it feel like? Just once or lots of times? What convinced you?

I've had random incidents in my life where I could have experienced it, and I want to see what someone else has to say about it.

Thank you all for your reprise!

and to answer Chris's question. I first expirienced voluntary telepathy when i was texting a wiccan teacher of mine from across the country. we tried playing a "game". I could tell what animal she was thinking off, and she could tell what animal I was thinking of. first answer. it worked. another time, We both had a shared dream, which we both remembered. I have also has many involuntary incidents.

*replies not reprise. its my phone.

I think its highly improbable that a tulpa can only exist within your mind, seeing how closely related they are to servitors, who work out of the minds boundaries.

My reasoning is this: If you believe your initial statements, then you've already answered your question. Conjecturally, telepathy isn't an experience confined by specific parameters, circumstances or subjects; it's the occasional, brief glimpse into a pervasive state of interconnectedness.

Anecdotally, my first fully developed tulpa seemed capable of relaying messages between me and my friends. For example, he was notorious for disappearing from my perception for indeterminate amounts of time, and when I would inquire about his absence, he would frequently report that he had been visiting a friend. Said friend would later confirm his claims, sometimes without prompt, at which point our standard procedure was to separately document the details and compare notes. The accuracy was consistently disturbing.

I consider the capacity for remote communication to be one of the defining features of a 'real' tulpa. Hypothetically, they could represent an unconscious conduit for what is consciously imperceptible, or perceptually obscure. I referred to mine as a 'psychopomp,' or "conductor of the psyche," although 'telepomp' -- "remote conductor" -- would be probably be more appropriate.
