Emily and I's nooby progress report (Feedback happily accepted)

Recommended Posts

Hello all, after a few weeks of reading up, and about a year of deciding, I have finally jumped into the process of creating a tulpa. I just started today, and any feedback is happily welcomed. I'll give a brief explanation of what I did

10/8/13 Day 1

Today I began the very beginning of tulpa forcing actively. I put on some music and started to concentrate. I began by creating a wonderland. It consist of a large outside pyramid which can be entered. Surrounding the pyramid is dense forest, with enough space on one side to view the stars. Inside I created a red carpet that leads to a throne, and a secret button that reveals a nicely decorated bedroom. (~15 minutes)

I began by visualizing myself sitting outside of the pyramid on a swinging chair, and I imagined the "presence" of my tulpa as being a white happy looking cloud swirling in front of me. I started narrating base personality traits for "her" to have. I did not go into extreme detail, but I did give it some broad traits. I explained how my main focus of creating a tulpa is for basic companionship (made it clear friends only thing) and to help me keep focused with my studies. I also went on to explain that she should grow upon these base traits in her own way, so she could develop her own personality. I gave her the name Nova. I told her she could change it at any time she wanted, and she could also change the wonderland to anything she wanted. (For reference, I plan to make her a human female around age 20) Kind of winged it for this part (~45 minutes)

Finally, I began to start the very basics of visualizing her. I have no problem visualizing, but I did not go into great detail yet. I morphed the cloud into a humanoid shape and began adding detail to the humanoid body. She turned out quite beautiful, but the only part of her with extreme detail is her face. The rest has detail but not nearly as much as her face does. Not yet at least. She has Hazel eyes, medium thick pointed eyebrows, straight and slightly concave nose, medium high cheek bone, full lips with a monroe piercing. Her teeth are slightly crooked but not extremely. Shoulder length unnaturally curly blonde hair. She looks Slavic, maybe Russian. My description doesnt necessarily do her any justice. (~40 minutes)

Just added, I did a morph a face thing, this is pretty close actually and I might just use this as a reference image or something

10/9/13 Day 2[/align]

(Thanks for the feedback everyone :))Had a pretty uneventful day. Although it is still very early in the process, I asked Nova to help me with something today. I was feeling a bit unnerved today because I had to make a speech that I was severely under-prepared for. I asked Nova to help me stay relaxed. When I began my speech, I began nervous but suddenly felt a wave of relaxation wash over me. Coincidence? Maybe.

I have passively narrated to her pretty much all day. Basically just talking to her and explaining random things. I invited her to walk with me around mt school campus. Early this morning I was narrating while in the shower, and the name Emily popped into my head. Maybe she would rather be called Emily? I wasn't sure so I didn't want to change anything yet. I also felt what I guess could be described as "head pressure" after some time of not narrating, and also when I thought about certain things.

Tried some active forcing after class, worked on details for visualizing. Added a television and intercom kind of thing to the wonderland. Also added a portal for me to enter and exit the wonderland from. The Television was put in the bedroom to see through my eyes during the day. I got a lot of detail in visually, a couple different angles of her look good. I fell asleep while forcing not too long into it, but whatever it happens. I might try some more active forcing again in a while. (~30 minutes max)

It's always awesome when people do that, and you get to see their tulpa. :)

Sounds like you're making good progress. I look forward to reading more.

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

Sounds great so far! Especially the wonderland bit. In a few minutes me and my tulpae are actually going to explore around our world in our airship to see if we can find other islands or bodies of land, and I have an inkling that a similar image of your wonderland might turn up. We love exploring catacombs and old ruins. I'm interested in reading more, and I'd like to see what happens between you two in the future!

10/10/13 Day 3

I decided to make a new post so things don't get too cluttered and you aren't instantly bored from the wall of text I write.

Alright so I did decide to force some more last night, and I made some good progress. I added a kitchen to the wonderland, also accessible by secret button with a little chefs hat on it. The kitchen is also sort of like a hologram room, meaning it can change into almost anything and have the affect that you are in another place. By default, it is a kitchen with basic needs for cooking, a fridge, some counter-tops, and a table. There is also another TV in there for watching things through my eyes. I was listening to the sound of rain and added a window near the left side of the main room, and Imagined I was watching the rain outside with my Tulpa. I did a lot of narrating here and explained a lot of things.

While I was thinking about her name, the name Emily kept popping into my head again. Therefore, I officially changed her name to Emily. I continued to actively narrate to her in the wonderland for a while in the night, I would guess about an hour and a half. At one point I randomly started to visualize her with cat ears, a tail, and paws. To the fur-friends out there, she was kind of in what I think is called "neko" style. I wasn't actively trying to do this. As I walked up to her for examination, I noticed all of her cat attire was removable, and was more like a costume. I visualized her moving around the wonderland in a playful fashion, acting cat-like.

During the day, I continue to passively narrate all day long. I like to visualize that she is coming with me to the places I am going, and explaining why I am doing the things I am doing, and telling her about people I see and recognize. Probably going to do some more active forcing tonight, and share with you all tomorrow.

10/11/13 Day 4

Not much happened today, mainly because I had trouble concentrating due to loud roommate and lack of sleep. Oh well

I did a lot of experimentation with sound and I tried tulpatone while active-forcing which seemed to help out a little with visualization, but somehow put me to sleep in the long run. I also tried different kinds of white noise and different sound generations on mynoise.net which helped a lot.

For the very fragmented time that I was forcing, I worked on visualizing some more detail in the wonderland, and I added a small helipad in the back for later use and exploring and expanding the wonderland. I also visualized more detail on Emily, specific areas such as hands, hip area, and upper torso and neck. To finish, I narrated a bit more of some of the personality traits I had already gave her and clarified on them. Also I made it clear that I wanted her to be who she wanted, but just keep these few traits. There probably about 10 or so traits I gave her, I wont bore you with the details. All in all, spent about an hour and a half active forcing. I still continue to passively narrate all day long.

Question: Sometimes I think I am getting a response from Emily while narrating, but I fear that I am just parroting. Is it odd to get a response so early? I do feel like she is sentient, because often I feel head pressure in response to some questions in which I directly ask her to use head pressure for communication. Thanks in advance

I started getting emotional responses very early. Like Dani said, it's best to believe it's your tulpa. Even if it's not, it helps eliminate doubt, which will pretty much do nothing but hinder your progress.

10/12/13 Day 5

Kind of took an off day, I was very busy almost all day. I always continue to passively force.

Emily saw her first concert, Title Fight, Balance and Composure, and Cruel hand in Philly. Stage diving is fun

10/13/13 Day 6

Again, didnt have a lot of time for anything. Still continued to passive force. I know I'll make a lot of good time for active forcing tomorrow

10/14/13 Day 7

Yay! The 1 week milestone. Emily and I are going to throw a little party for ourselves in the wonderland later today. Should be fun

I have started to get pretty strong emotional responses to certain things, and I am thinking that it has to do with things Emily likes or dislikes. For example, I was listening to a song that I liked in the past and I suddenly felt a very strong surge of feeling towards the song. Like I felt like I really enjoyed the song much more than I did in the past, or like I listened to it for the first time before I was bored with it.

Often these emotional responses will come from music on their own. Otherwise, I think I would only get them from a direct question or passive forcing. Also, my head pressure is very rarely present anymore, and will only happen while I am active forcing, or thinking about Emily.

I do strongly believe Emily is sentient, but I don't think she is vocal yet. Sometimes I can see her in the wonderland moving her lips but no words come out. Who knows, it will come with time :)

Finally, I figure I should add that Emily seems to like hip-hop music with a lot of bass. I discovered this while riding in my friends car (he likes hip-hop and has a really loud and bassy sound system) and I kept feeling emotion responses to songs I have never liked in the past.
