Akireaus(Achilles) October 11, 2013 October 11, 2013 Salutations. I'm new here, and I was wondering; do any of you here practice magick? If so, do you get your tulpa or tulpae to help you? I'm currently in the process of making my first tulpa, so I haven't had the chance to experiment yet. As always, thanks in advance for any answers. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so if not I apologize. “Only one man ever understood me, and he didn't understand me.” ― Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel "When I have a little money, I buy books. Dr. Faust October 11, 2013 October 11, 2013 I try to stay abreast of magic but making a tulpa is the first "magical" experiment of mine. I'm not sure how "magical" my tulpa will be but I'm hoping it will propel me on my journey.
Yori October 11, 2013 October 11, 2013 Can you clear up what you mean by magick? Are you talking about sorts of witchcraft, or anything involving psi? If the latter, I don't call it magick. Sounds weird. My lip hurts.
cartowheel October 11, 2013 October 11, 2013 I practice witchcraft, if you're talking about spells, oils, herbs, crystals, the whole shebang, along with some divination thrown in there (pendulum, tarot, and scrying). ^_^ Chael's not quite sentient enough to help me just yet, but I do hope to let him take part in my rituals when the time does come. Quilten October 11, 2013 October 11, 2013 I've done a good bit of experimentation, nothing proving anything more than a placebo. I'm not saying that placebos are not the most useful things, they just are not magick. In my experience, consistent use of placebos while forcing or just going around in everyday life has improved a lot of things for me. I also like to use elvish to cast "spells". By that I mean, again, just a thought that I force into my thinking it is real. Nothing against people who believe in magick (trust me, I'm hella jealous), I just haven't had a first hand experience with it. Akireaus(Achilles) October 12, 2013 Author October 12, 2013 Salutations and thanks for the answers. When I said magick, I should have clarified, sorry. I meant ceremonial magick. So, of course one's Tulpa wouldn't provide outright help, but instead help as in faster ways of entering altered states of consciousness for example, achieve gnosis faster. I ask not because of any laziness on my part, but rather the implications of entering such states faster, what one could do. To me, it seems to open a huge door of possibilities, which I haven't even listed yet, because I've no idea what they could be. “Only one man ever understood me, and he didn't understand me.” ― Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel "When I have a little money, I buy books. If we say that Magick is the art of the will, then almost by definition a tulpa or servitor would be a helper. Unless you have set it up to not help you. Like maybe it is on guard while you are in a ritual. But then that would still be help wouldn't it? Most of my servitors do help me with magickal operations, to raise power and such. The ones that are on assignment don't help. Enoch, Chancellor of Mars. "Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell

But, I want to find out the absolute limits of what my tulpa and I can do during a ritual. For example he could provide a commentary of sorts, tell me things I do not notice, and help make the later notebook entries more complete, to improve future study. I suppose I could say I want to know the limits and boundaries, and achieve as much as possible within them. Not just in relation to magick, but also such things as dreams and language, a personal hobby of mine is creating languages, I wonder what sorts of communication I could engage in with my tulpa, as we would be connected in a way I am not with other human beings. Of course, this is all pure speculation, until Achilles is fully functional. Thanks for the replies. “Only one man ever understood me, and he didn't understand me.” ― Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel "When I have a little money, I buy books. They may tell you what you want to hear, which may not be the truth. So you would need another way to verify what you have done in a ritual. I have a tulpa that keeps animals off my path. When an animal stops at the edge of the roadway, I know that it is working. This tulpa has only failed once, and it was very foggy and the rabbit was lost. Poor dead rabbit. But anyway if you can figure way to do this please let us know. Enoch, Chancellor of Mars. "Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so if not I apologize. Howdy! Yes. I use thought forms to help me work magick on those times when I have tried to work it proper. I make it up as I go, and my definition of magick encompasses everything that is an act of will upon out inner and outer world (for the record). Since imagining is very important when actually working a ritual, it would go without saying a tulpa could certainly help out. I aimed to use a gargoyle myself to help me see what I normally would not see but it hasn't taken as well as a raven that comes to me when I meditate. He usually leads me into interesting places or places I need to be if I am in the right place for it. ~Wielder of the Sacred Spatula~
