jackbradley November 4, 2013 November 4, 2013 So, I literally just heard about Tulpa's today on tumblr which is right here http://hybridpop.tumblr.com/post/65990231353/fuckyeahspookyshit-last-year-i-spent-six (sorry, im new to this still hahaha), but the story was quite frighting as you can tell. I came here from a few Google searches and so far, everybody that has been doing this for a while has had good experiences. I want to try tonight, but I don't think I want to go as far as having it appear in my home... like in real life. Would they be mad if I played with the idea tonight and maybe just kept them in my head? Is that even possible? Is there any way I can make sure it stays there and is nice? Can you guys summarize how I begin making my Tulpa? I'm really into this kind of stuff, and it seems almost comforting to have one of these with you. I just don't want it to take its own form and begin to be able to touch anybody or do any harm. Thank you! :)
NED November 4, 2013 November 4, 2013 Find the guides section and do some reading if you don't know where to start. But you can make one however you want. Also, you can keep them in your head, you can do whatever you like. I have kept mine in my head and have stopped inducing her to real life, I don't want to anymore, and she is perfectly fine like that and we are both very happy. Welcome to the forums. Good luck and blessings for you and your future Tulpa. Name - Silver Form - Harpy Sentience - fully sentient Personality - Playful, cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled Smell - Baileys Stage - Narration and imposition
Ashmo November 4, 2013 November 4, 2013 NED already summed it up. The guides are going to be your best friend if you are starting from scratch. We also have a search option to help you find anything you might have specific questions about or if your stuck on something that's been answered before. ^^

Try to not let the exaggerations and creepy stories deter you from the Tulpa concept. I'm very new as well and I can say that the entire process can be lengthy but also rewarding. Keep in mind that your Tulpa is more of an extension of your subconscious than it is a creation from it. It is a thought form visualized by your psyche, your mind and body exist to preserve you so as the guides say, your Tulpa will not actively work against you. Remember, it's you, unless you have some underlying and identified issues concerning self-harm you can rest assured that your Tulpa is going to be an excellent tool and companion As for starting out, I personally use meditation but you can start by just having deep thought sessions. Think about what you hope to achieve by doing this, take your time and let your thoughts flow. Visualization will come when it comes and the experience is very rewarding. Don't be afraid to ask for advice or questions. I wish you the best of luck! Cheers!

You guys were tons of help. I'm excited to see what happens :)
JackTheWingedLion November 5, 2013 November 5, 2013 You must give your tulpa what it wants, and you must give it freedom. I did the same thing. I was afraid. Now my brother is dead. It was him. He took my body. Ever heard of tulpa posession and switching? Be careful. Jack's not there yet.

Kevin says: "That story has been around the internet for years. It is just that, as creepy story." You must give your tulpa what it wants, and you must give it freedom. I did the same thing. I was afraid. Now my brother is dead. It was him. He took my body. Ever heard of tulpa posession and switching? Be careful. Kevin says: "Jack', I think that may count as "bad advice" even though I'm pretty sure you are just playing around. Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.
konrad13 November 7, 2013 November 7, 2013 Yeah, tulpas don't manifest like in that post. That was just somebody being spooky. If you do detailed searches, you will find that the only negative effects of tulpa are those created by the host themselves (one case I can remember off-hand is a guy who created a tulpa but kept it solely within his wonderland and tried convincing it that that was the real world and it freaked out on him emotionally and he sorely regretted decieving them in that manner). No one else can percieve your tulpa unless you are speaking to it aloud and don't have a bluetooth (I got a cheapo one just so I could narrate in public). Even then they may just assume you're crazy... Me: Hey, say something for this thread! Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...
