Been wondering about this for awhile. I know that you can never really completely finish the personality, but there's a couple methods that don't even include personality development and they just let it develop naturally so I guess personality traits isn't really something they think about when they tulpaforce.

What do you do during your tulpaforcing sessions after personality though? Aside from visualization since I've heard that you're supposed to get sentience before you work on visualization.

I know that narration is a big part of working towards sentience, but I figured that's more of something you do throughout the day, just narrating your activities to your tulpa as you do them and not really a sit down, close your eyes, and tulpaforce kind of thing.

Do random things, hang out with your tulpa, hug it, paint its nails if its a girl :3, brush hair. Stupid things like that.

Narrating (talking to her). Also reading fiction with her where we switch the role of who's reading between every few sentences.

On a related note, I get more response when I close my eyes and narrate, so I guess that can be considered a session of sorts.

My tulpa's a guy and I'll still paint his nails. He'll be the fucking prettiest furry dragon thing anyone's ever seen this side of the astral realm.

Listen to music with it. Lauren loved that part of narration, and TOG says it helped Claire as well. Also, reading together and talking about the story, analyzing it together, sending it visualizations of things that are happening in the story to kind of entertain it. That can be fun for both of you and will help stimulate their mind and developing their imagination and creativity really helps with sentience.

Narrate, work on their form, gait, and in general the way they look if it so pleases you.

Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
