Getting back into things/Various questions

I've had several tulpas over the course of, what, two years now? Jesus, I've forgotten a lot of stuff pertaining to tulpas. All I really remember is that you focus on personality, and that is the integral part of the tulpa's existence. I know that there are other ways of doing things and that a lot of stuff that was true at the very start has been proven to be partially false (parroting=bad, hours=good for example).

Is there any real way of catching up to the current tulpa creation standards aside from actually forcing and reading guides?

Is there any reason to choose a wonderland location? As in, is really any location I want okay, or will it affect my tulpa's creation?

Do symbology still have an effect on tulpas? As in, I know when I first made a tulpa, I symbolized access to my memories as a locked box. Does that really work? I don't know if I should limit my tulpa from knowing about the past shit I've pulled.

I might ask some more questions in a reply if I have some more.

You should read up on the GCC ANSI Tulpa11 standard.

This all depends on what you personally believe, but I've never heard a wonderland affecting a tulpa's development. I always recommend super easy one to focus on though, so you never have to pay attention to it and focus on the tulpa.

Symbolism is purely up to you, believe in it or not.

Dammit jimmy you've been here as long as I have you should know some of this.

Ah yes, Bin, tulpaforcer and Linux user. I'll be sure to install Gentoo while I'm at it.

Yeah, I know before it used to be place I went to often, then it was just a box, and then a sprawling landscape. I think it just affected what the tulpa's did when they were bored.

I've been away too long. Sorry Binz

1) If you want to learn the new methods and all that, read through the newer guides or hop in the IRC for a bit. You'll see how things have changed.

2) The wonderland location doesn't matter - just use whatever you want. However, if you feel like you're focusing more on the wonderland than the actual tulpa, consider using a void or something like that.

3) Symbolism stills works, yes, but it depends on the person. Also, I don't see why you'd want to keep secrets from your new tulpa. Sure, you've done some stupid shit in the past, but why would you want secrets there?

hey jimmy

1. I don't really think too much has changed, some new guides exist, but it really all boils down to the same thing--Just different methods of getting the results. One of the guides might make something click for you in a way that a different one couldn't

2. Wonderland/headspace is just a place. The location could have a significant meaning for you, maybe it is a more busy active place or maybe it is a calm place. Maybe you don't need one. I don't think mine affected anything other than giving them things to do. We also don't have one specific place we explore.

3.symbolism is something that works for many. It depends on you, though. For instance, a microphone might have a different meaning to someone who is a musician as opposed to someone who is not musical at all, so using a microphone as a symbolic item will have a different or lessened effect on the other person. If there is an item that has a significant meaning to you that can be seen as a symbol of whatever, use it. If not, don't try and force it.

I personally don't hide memories from anyone, and they don't hide things from me. We all know we make mistakes and that's just a part of life. That's just my personal opinion.

Am I really the only person who sees this guy making more tulpas as the worst fucking idea ever? I mean come on.

I've seen more than my fair share of people making threads just to have a reason to log in and see if anyone has replied.

They're fire starters and need attention of others to validate their claims rather than having their own opinions backed up by common sense, reason, and research.

This thread being an excellent example.

This user has been "around" long enough to have made many tulpa yet is suddenly struck with massive amnesia pertaining to the basic principles of how to start the development process? If you weren't serious about this the first time what's changed that would make you want to do it "for real" now?

The most terrifying thing about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent. In the vast darkness we must supply our own light.

The thing I don't understand is how this guy made a bunch of tups (Like 8 or something), killed them, and now people are giving him advice to make more instead of ignoring him or telling him to just stop.

I'd venture a guess and say that most people who are part of the community do not know the back story. Plus people here are generally optimistic and want to be helpful to someone who has questions. Ignorance and good will can convince people to do a lot of silly things.
