MrCrazy December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 I realize that sometimes this may be true, however, I sure that an equal number of adults are guilty, and from what I understand, they are in the majority on this site. I admittedly am 15, however I believe that I have been a good companion for Saphira, and would rather chop off my own leg than let her go or do anything that may be detrimental to her. I think that your statement only pertains to children that are a bit unstable. No offense to anyone intended. Just because you are fine with your tulpa, does not negate the fact that kid mancers have hormones and shit, and are usually worse than adult mancers, as we've seen in the tulpa community multiple times. *cough*Jimmy*cough*. I get where you're coming from because children can be terrible, but so can people over 17. It's just not great to lump the good ones in with the bad in a general statement like that. I'm a teenager and I feel that I'm pretty good about forcing and interacting with Markus. At the very least I would NEVER do anything to purposely harm her and certainly never dissipate her. It just feels shitty to be lumped into a group like that. He said most likely. Not all. Also for the record, most kids would Probobly treat their tulpa or imaginary friend better than most adults as most kids tend to show a lot of respect and consideration for imaginary friends in childhood, whereas most people while creating tulpas aren't even sure they belive in them, Until they dissipate them of course.
sushi December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 Until they dissipate them of course. Yes. Because that's just what every preteen fantasizes about. Killing their best friend. Let's put it this way: Has anyone here ever met someone who dissipated a tulpa before the age of 12? Anyone at all? "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
MrCrazy December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 Yes. Because that's just what every preteen fantasizes about. Killing their best friend. And yet they do it anyways to tulpas. How long have you been in the tulpa community? Let's put it this way: Has anyone here ever met someone who dissipated a tulpa before the age of 12? Anyone at all? From what Amber said, quite a lot of people actually!
sushi December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 Of course. Now I see the error of my ways. I will never again tell anyone anything for fear that they'll use the information for evil. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
epicureanatlantis December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 This debate has gotten old, and a bit insulting to some teen mancers. Yeah, yeah I get it. Some teens like to join the forums and brag about their Tulpae, use them for sex, whatever. Just because some dumbasses decided to do the wrong thing doesn't mean responsible teens are nonexistent, and in the minority. I suspect some members of the forums may lie about their age just to avoid prejudice. It becomes annoying. Posts like, "Teens are the worst Tulpamancers and only use them for stupid shit before they get bored and dissipate them." can also be discouraging and unwelcoming to new members of the forums. How would the adults feel if someone said, "Adults only keep their Tulpae because most of them have mental/emotional problems and need someone to vent with." This type of criticism is not constructive at all... Me: So, talk to me about why I'm your dream boy. Him: This is going to be a short conversation. Me: Ha, ha, ha! That's so mean!
Guest amber5885 December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 You took my quote out of context completely. Usually they only get rid of them because they are bullied by other kids and/or their parents for having them and I also said, how do you know most people that had them don't still have them? That question was brought up on another non tulpa related forum and a lot of the members that said they had imaginary friends also said they still have them and consider them big parts of there lives. If you're going to quote me, at least quote the whole thing. I don't think teens or children would be bad at it, I think shitty people would be bad at it and being a crappy host isn't relivent to age.
MrCrazy December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 Will you's get on IRC with me? Since Amber has such a huge problem with my opinions being on the forum, as seen on that other thread Irc.tulpa.info I'm gonna be called MrCrazy on there
TheSanctuary December 5, 2014 December 5, 2014 Not so much your opinions that she has a problem with but more how you present them I would hazard a guess - everyone has a right to their opinions you just seem ... Overly passionate about convincing others yours is right.

I really didn't start off all that angry. debating Sushi got me angry, and when Amber joined in that pushed me over the edge.
