Hi! I apologized if these questions are addressed in another part of this website, this is my first time here... anyway! If you'd be so kind as to answer these questions. ^_^

What is the gist of the scientific explanation for the creation of tulpas? How does it even work?

Does it matter what age you are to be able to create tulpas? I'm fourteen and I'd like to create one if it were possible.

Can your tulpa be anime? How does the tulpa look in the real world if it were anime?

If everyone could create a tulpa, why doesn't everyone have one? Tulpas are an extremely interesting topic, in my opinion.

When you create a tulpa, are you basically making yourself insane? At least to a degree?

Can you have multiple tulpas? How does it effect the previously made one during the creation?

If two people who had their own two tulpas, met, can you see the other persons tulpa? Can your tulpa see the other persons tulpa?

Sometimes I think of scary things involuntarily, I suspect that when I begin my attempt at making a tulpa, it will interfere with how I want the tulpas personality to be. Will that be so?

If your tulpa becomes a solidified object, when they attempt an interaction with another, does their hand just fade through the person?

Thank you in advance. >_< Regardless of whether or not this is bullshit, it sounds unbelievably intriguing.

There are several guides around here about how to create it, if you haven't checked it out I recommend you do. :)

Age doesn't matter in my opinion, some have had their tulpas since childhood.

Can your tulpa be anime? How does the tulpa look in the real world if it were anime?

Yes it can be a character from an anime if that is what you wish, I can only speak from my own experience on this one, my tulpa look the same in the real world as it does in wonderland but slightly more realistic, it's easier to see his skin in real life than in wonderland.

If you have a character you wish to create into your own tulpa you should reconsider for a moment, cause some tulpas feel unhappy about it, like my tulpa for example, he hate the idea of being based of a character, he wish to be his own unique person.

Not everyone are open minded, some will see it as madness to have a voice in your head which you listen and talk to, some people will be concerned because it could be seen as anti social or escaping reality or loneliness.

When you create a tulpa, are you basically making yourself insane? At least to a degree?

No having a tulpa does not make someone insane.

Can you have multiple tulpas? How does it effect the previously made one during the creation?

Yes you can have multiple tulpas, I can't answer the second question because I only have one and will not make more tulpas, cause he would be highly unhappy about it.

If two people who had their own two tulpas, met, can you see the other persons tulpa? Can your tulpa see the other persons tulpa?

I can't answer this question cause I've never met anyone in real life who has a tulpa.

Sometimes I think of scary things involuntarily, I suspect that when I begin my attempt at making a tulpa, it will interfere with how I want the tulpas personality to be. Will that be so?

Not in my experience, I've got the same problem and it never affected my tulpa.

If your tulpa becomes a solidified object, when they attempt an interaction with another, does their hand just fade through the person?

I don't know, my tulpa have never interacted with anything or anyone.

Tulpamancy is training your mind to simulate another person, basically. It's the process of getting it to run a consciousness besides your own.

Considering a fair amount of us are strictly scientific in our endeavors, I'm gonna say no to insanity.

Having multiple tulpas generally divides the amount of time each will have receiving attention from you. Depends on the tulpa if they're okay with this. I have four who I alternate spending time with (or we all do things together), and two who require nothing whatsoever.

You can't see others' tulpas, because you can't "see" your tulpa. You convince your mind to see them when doing imposition, but this does not mean they're there. If you're open to psychic interpretations, generally they still can't see tulpas, but they're supposedly able to sense their presence.

Invasive thoughts are only as big a problem as you let them be. They're unimportant if you consider them so. I've forced my mind to ignore invasive thoughts of things happening to my tulpas in the past, a strong declaration of "This isn't." followed by ignoring it usually works for me.

Tulpas don't become solidified objects, you train your brain to add them to your perception post-sight in your mind with imposition. You can practice them interacting with physical objects until they do so so well they appear to be affected by reality, but they can never affect it physically. If your tulpa can, that's the point where that "insanity" thing comes in, or more appropriately put a dissociation with reality. Probably healthier not to do that. Keep it real *sunglasses*

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

1. Like reisen said, you're basically tricking your brain into forming another personality. I've got a really interesting link but I can't send it right now, since I'm on mobile and don't know the link off the top of my head :p I'll PM it to you if you want.

2. Age doesn't really matter, as long as you're old enough to accept that tulpas are, in most cases, lifelong companions. I started with Markus last year and I'm 15 so you should be fine there :p

3. Yep. Lots of people here have anime tulpas. With imposition(I'm assu ming you're talking about imposition when you say "in real life") I would assume that they'd look a bit out of place. I don't have any personal experience with that, so I can't really tell you.

4. Tulpas are extremely interesting. Why doesn't everyone have one? Not many know about them and the part where you hear voices in your head turns some people off of the topic :p

5. I wouldn't say insane. Insane is defined as "the state of being seriously mentally ill." I wouldn't say that by making a tulpa you're becoming seriously mentally ill; just deviating from the norm a bit :P

6. Yep. Lots of people have multiple tulpas on here. I only have Markus, so I can't comment on the second bit personally, but I hear it's easier to make a tulpa if you've had practice before.

7. Nope. none of that. It's widely accepted here that tulpas exist only in your head. If you believe something different, you might want to talk to others in the metaphysical section of this site.

8. Those are called intrusive thoughts and they SUUUUUCCCKKKKKK. I used to get them a disgusting amount when I first started, but now I've kind of learned how to get rid of them. When something like that happens, don't try to force it out of your mind. This tends to be where the ironic process theory comes into play. I used to try to force the intrusive thoughts out of my head but... that just makes it worse. If you just kind of ignore them they'll go away. They also won't harm your tulpa or anything. Not to my knowledge, anyway.

9. Tulpas cannot become solidified objects. They have no form outside of your brain unless you allow them control of your body. If you meant if they became imposed as solid, then yes they would pass through solid matter, since they don't actually have a physical form.

Markus is the tulpa, and I don't really have anything else to say.
