A- That's fair. My host has pretty much set his course in an okay-ish direction, so I'm just chilling and/or harassing Tsuki with him in the meantime. No friends to speak of, so plenty of free time for sleeping or dream management.

That sounds really nice! Dream management sounds really interesting; I've only dreamed a handful of times and I've appeared in a few of Phil's dreams, but for the most part he's still the one doing the dreaming and I don't really have much of a connection to them.

A- Since I'm usually the one napping all the time, and avoiding switching during the usual times, we just figured it would be a good way for me to do something interesting without having to deal with people outright. Tsuki takes the dayshift, and all that. Usually I can see the dreams and such alright, the problems I run into is manipulating them in ways that actually are noticeable, if at all. The ultimate idea is to try and cheese into lucid dreams so we can spend time together there. I've managed to shove myself into the dreams outright a few times, but it's tough for us to meet up when he's basically on autopilot, and I'm usually not close enough to make him focus before he wakes up. Only reason I'm awake right now is just me and her did a swap shift for fun, then she started whining about not being able sleep together over night, since I'm usually up and all that. And, lo and behold, last night's dream went un-interfered and could barely be considered coherent. Oh well, I guess. We both have dreams of our own sometimes, but since I guess in a way it mean anything in terms of progress we just ignore them.

Dream manipulation into lucid dreaming sounds really hard, but potentially really cool. Hanging out with your host in a lucid dream sounds so perfect. My host and I have never been "together" in a dream; either he dreams or (less frequently) I dream, and if I make an appearance in his dream it's only as a tulpa via mindvoice. Our interest in dreaming comes and goes. The progress that you've made already is really cool!

A- We've been practicing since about October or so, keeping a dream journal and all that, which helps. Well "journal", its just the samsung notes app, but it still works. Even if it doesn't work how we are trying, its still fun to see if we can force some more interesting dreams just generally.

Is there anything you do/think about before going to sleep that has a big impact? During the last time I was interested in dreaming I'd say to myself "I'm going to dream tonight" before we went to sleep, and it did work a couple times. But that was only to make myself the dreamer rather than my host; it didn't have any effect on the content of the dream or how much I could control it.

A- Generally for us, its pure RNG what has an impact before bed. A few days ago, my host just said "Let me have a good dream for god's sake" and passed out. Then, he dreamed about fucking a mermaid. To be honest, I don't think it matters. Our best results are just from having an alarm set about 2 hours before he needs to wake up for the day. Wake up at 5am then 7, and usually there will be a dream then. Sometimes we've gotten 3 or 4 dreams in a single night just from luck with this. More dreams, better odds, I guess. Generally better dream potential if you get 5-6 hours of sleep before that first alarm, but we average about 4ish so it is what it is.
