So a little bit earlier it hit me hard that James' birthday is coming up soon (early September), and I had a mini-freak out session of excitement. I would like to do something special--not just because it's his birthday, but because it marks one entire year that he's been with me. :)

I know that not everyone celebrates tulpa birthdays, but for those of you who did or have done in the past, what'd you do? I have a few ideas in my head (that he's not allowed to look at), but it's nice to hear other peoples' opinions on the matter anyhow.

Thanks~

James: Hello, all!

Oliver's birthday will be coming in November, so I have time to change this, but we're probably going to try to play games where he can have a say, like Sims. We'll also probably talk for awhile, although he's not the most sociable, so I don't know how long that will last.

I would suggest just doing things that you can enjoy together, like reading books or watching movies you've already seen (so you don't get too sucked into the movie).

We do the Survey and Stylometric Test every year to see how she's changed over the past year. Not all that much between birthdays so far, but I wish I'd gotten her to take it early in her first year -- that's when the real change occurred.

I usually try to do something special for her too, usually related to forcing. Just going above and beyond the rest of the year. For her first half-birthday, I took the day off of work to spend it with her.

For Naomi's birthday one year we did a Japanese summer festival in our wonderland. Usually my girls also bake a cake, and sometimes I force up a present for them.

Thanks for answering, guys! I'll be sure to take everything into consideration when they time comes. :)

Buy an actual cake, sing a few songs, buy them something meaningful or force it in your mind, stuff like that really. It's the intention that matters.
