My idea is that while the eyes are closed and we are trying to visualise, we incorporate other stimuli such as touch and hearing and even taste to then recreate a visual manifestation of the world around us. So, to help mainly to improve people's visualisations, I wish to do an experiment. People who volunteer will need 1 free day in which to do this where for a 24 hr period... Longer if you do so want wear a blindfold ... This should not be taken off at any point so have some ready meals ready.

During this time it will be your aim to through your other senses visualise your enviroment. E.g in the shower visualise the size of the showery area the sensations of things and so what there textures will look like, the look of water etc, in the kitchen what the orange juice you may be drinking etc. the purpose of this is to force your mind to recreate the world thus improving visualising skills.

Anyone wishing to take part please include current stage of tulpa development ( I need people from all developmental stages so don't be shy), how long they wish to proceed for as well as their age.

I will also need the participant to think (right now) of a red triangle and try to visualise it in their minds eye... Once this is completed tell me what number you received from the chart in the link below. It is important that you are honest as this will be used as a before and after.

THE MAIN EXPERIMENT (with the blindfold) SHOULD NOT BE STARTED YET

But that means 24 hours without internet...

The above post does not contain facts.

q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.

It sounds interesting but I'm not rich enough for when I break something. And I would probably step on the cat. And no internet. That is horrible. You think too much of us fat neckbeards, Fenrir.

How could we even tell what time it is.

Tulpae seem to be pretty good timekeepers.

It would also seem to be a good way to practice imposition.

I might try this if I have an open day sometime, no guarantees though.

This sounds interesting, though I'm trying to think how I'd go about doing it as I have *people* where I live. Apart from ramming into people, explaining why I'm not looking where I'm going, banging up my shins, kicking the dog, stomping the cat, stepping in her hairballs, etc., I really would like to try this. It sounds like it *would* increase visualization ability, or at least focus on the mind's eye, which is exactly what's needed for imposition.

I will try to navigate the house blind more often, though I don't realistically see ever being able to do it for 24 hours straight.

Don't blindfold myself for 24 hours yet? Why ever not?

I'm working on imposition. Tulpa is vocal, but I can't hear it very well.

I'll do it for 24 hours, perhaps longer if I feel the desire to continue.

Age? Older than six parsecx.

Red triangle data:

Eyes closed: 6

imposing: I can sustain a 3, but when I get it shaded in, it only holds at a 4-5 for a moment before it collapses into a blob of grey or red colour.

Imagining it with my mind's eye on the edges of my vision yields a 5

Waiting on your word to begin.

Ok we have our first guinea pig for this experiment named mayormorgan, the results will be posted after the experiments completion.

Let's all hope he's better than the guinea pig shown below

Overall, it was an interesting experience. The experiment helped with tulpa visualization during and after the blindfolding; the effect was more pronounced during the experiment, however.

The test ran from yesterday, 2am until 11:30pm.

Put on a blindfold before I went to sleep, made sure it was thick so no light would creep through. Set an alarm to wake me at 8am.

I scribbled down some notes.

"At first I found that I was primarily visualizing the object was focusing on, bumped into a wall, imagined it, etc, and everything else, even what was behind me, was on my mental peripheral vision. Now I can more easily imagine the whole environment.

"I now notice that I'm imagining different light levels in different rooms. Is it more because I'm remembering how bright a room is, or because of slight temperature differences?"

I set an alarm to go off at twelve so I could know what time it was and see how my progress was going over time. At this time, I was able to pretty vividly visualize my house, and my location in it, so I moved onto the grounds outside it.

"Walls matter less, for I already know what lies on the other side. Sensing is easy, hearing birds and cicadas outside gives away their position."

My sense of where I actually was in relation to where I thought I was had only improved slightly. I was off by a two foot radius, when it came to getting through doorways, though, I found I was brushing past the door frame, not spot on, but not wholly inaccurate.

At what seemed like 3pm, I grew tired and slept for perhaps an hour.

From ~12:30 to four thirty,(a friend called and gave me the time,) (excluding when I rested,) I spent a majority of my time forcing. (Went through the majority of personality again, I had the time, so I thought, why not?) Since I had been visualizing everything around me for hours, I found it easy to see my tulpa with my minds eye.

Compared with before I was blindfolded, I was able to see Her much more clearly than before.

At 5pm I migrated to a friends house, which was interesting. My friend's little sister was bored, so she kept running around me, asking me where she was, if I could see, what she was doing. My guessing of what she was doing was mostly inaccurate, but I was able to track her location pretty easily. She may as well have been stomping around (she was jumping around half the time, hehe) She proved to be a good test assistant, pushing my senses for answers.

I found my house to be much easier to navigate, but both my house and my friends were easy to visualize, considering how much time I spend at these places this is no surprise.

With the prolonged deprivation of my senses, I began experiencing Phosphenes with increasing frequency, as well as more vivid blotches of color floating across the back of my eyelids. My mind wandered while I was hanging out with my friends, and very vivid daydreams, to the point of them being like vivid normal dreams, occurred twice.

The actual content of the dreams probably isn't too important to the experiment, so I'll share the slightly shorter one of the two, because dreams are fun.

The first began as a blotch of blue that became spherical and then took the form of the Earth. For a few moments I was floating in space with the Sun behind me exposing empty space the Earth. The Earth was like a pretty realistic three dimensional painting, with massive storms slowly swirling about.

When I returned home, not much worth noting happened. My sense of where I was had improved slightly, I was able to find chairs fairly easily and walk into walls less often. I didn't realize it at first, but since I hadn't paid attention to the time for some hours, I was still imagining that levels of light based off of a late afternoon source, but when I attempted to expose myself to the Sun's light, I found that due to a lack of heat, the sun must have set some hours ago.
