Esterina one day started to show increasing affection and intimacy towards me, and then she confessed, and I told her I love her too, but needed time to think about it. In the end, after about a month of thinking it over, I went with "yes", and now we're a couple. Greets, AG

Because tulpas are a subjective experience in the mind, and are affected by what the host wishes to believe about them, there are a variety of situations. My host would tell you that a tulpa will do whatever your unconscious imagination wishes it would do. Funny that I am not attracted to my host and think he is a nerdy old goat. Apparently his unconscious mind secretly wishes for that I guess. He also must wish for me to irritate the hell out of him once in a while. Go figure.

In fact, it was so common when the community first started, that it was considered an unofficial phase of development. So, yes. You don't have to engage in romance with them, I personally do not as I feel it wouldn't be good for the long term. But it does happen, especially with highly affectionate hosts. I was talking about when the host is highly affectionate toward their creation. I, for example, was VERY gushy and affectionate toward my initial creation, Midori. Then to Ellenore afterwards.
