Since there are more and more of these popping up, I decided it's be neat to set one up for myself as well. It seemed like a novel idea to me, even when Luminesce first started his, and since it doesn't seem like a bad idea to ingratiate myself more in to the community, aside from the few spots I usually set up base, here's this thread.

I'll answer your questions here to the best of my ability, though i will admit some things I try to keep private/secret (Like the exact number of thought folk I keep track of). Even so, I'll do what I can to give a satisfactory answer to you guys and gals.

If you want to ask one of my residents any questions, I encourage it. My Anchor for the time is Sheryl, and my first is Midori. I'll introduce the others as time goes by.

Peace.

What has Midori been doing for fun lately?

Well, I haven't been active as much as I used to, so I sleep a lot more, but I'm still go around Socky's head, and visit the folks I know. I go out with Sheryl sometimes, me and her will go to her room, and jump around on her bed, to a certain flower head's chagrin, hehe. Then I'll go with her and explore her...setting, yeah, that's the word. Where she has her "history" in, and we'll play around there, seeing the shops, the school, and the other shades of the students, ya know, just to have the place filled. I go around and about a lot, I swim with Yoko, and I, eh, compete with Dorris. Me an her are...friendly rivals of sorts. So that's what I do for fun, I go around and see me friends. And when Sock comes around, I just like to hang out and talk with him, even if it's for a little while. Socky's often busy, unfortunately, and we don't see each other as much as we used to. But, despite that, he always has us all in mind. I know, Ellen knows, and everyone here knows.

Is Sock Cottenwell the greatest name ever conceived?

How many tuppers you got in there? Did you draw their designs yourself?

Your picture of Moge-Ko is pretty amusing(In your art thread), in fact your art style in general is rather simplistic, yet still rather good in its execution. What inspired your art style?

Haha! :D

How many tuppers you got in there?

As said in the intro post,

.

I will say that I really have not had the time to personally work on all of them, although I make efforts to remember them. As well, when I speak to them, I treat them the same as I would those who I DID personally work on and develop. I determine the level of their self-awareness, communication, and memory by how they respond and behave when I do interact with them. I've often been surprised by them, as well as proven wrong about a previous determination I made about them.

As an example, I have a figure named Homura, who initially could barely speak, and when she did, it was in choppy, broken sentences, all focused on one person. I determined her to be what I'd call a "fragment", a mental construct gathered together out of various memories, feelings, etc that showed some slight leanings toward self awareness, but was very low level compared to someone who was more developed and had more time to live, Midori being the top example. But one day, she just came up to me and said:

"What will it take me to convince your I'm not a 'fragment'?"

She took offence to my labelling her as such, and wanted to prove herself to me, which she proceeded to do over the course of the following few weeks. This is not an isolated example either, and it really overthrew a chunk of my ideas on how the phenomenon worked. I keep a list of named for myself, and try to keep said names in mind, even if I cannot attend to all of them at once, I feel that remembering ones who showed what I sometimes called a "spark of life" would be good.

Did you draw their designs yourself?

Some of them, yes. Midori was all me, as is Ellenore, Kellogg, Gladys, and a number of others. I also have a portion of thought folk who are based on media I was very attached to in the past, Sheryl being the most cited example, as well as Tomo, Moge-ko, Homura, and others. Even with those, I tend to tweak their designs a bit, and since my style of drawing seems to be rather distinct, there are naturally some difference from their "official" design. Tomo being a more extreme example.

Your picture of Moge-Ko is pretty amusing(In your art thread), in fact your art style in general is rather simplistic, yet still rather good in its execution. What inspired your art style?

It is of course clear there is a good deal of inspiration from Japanese cartoons, one of the specific examples I was attached to was Dragonball. For a while, I was deep in to more "cute girl" based media, and that reflects in how I draw as well. For the more crayon-like drawings, that was a method that I ended up coming up with on demand. I was working on a project once-upon-a-time, and the folks there wanted to have a more child-ish artstyle for parts of it. Thus, I came up with the sort of style you saw in the Moge-ko drawing. I've been feeling an itch to do another image like that, recently.

Despite the above, I actually went out of my way to try and learn more proportion and such, and for a while I did portraits and gestures somewhat regularly as a for of practice. Now, I also wish to diversify my output, and the sort of design and aesthetic in my work. One of the reasons I've been doing a lot of cute-girl stuff is that I stopped drawing for a long time, and wanted to ease my way back in to it. The other is because many of my in-folk just happened to be females of the cuddly sort, and part of feeling more comfortable in my own skin, was accepting that they were what they were, tossing aside my own embarrassment about them.

Edit:

Thinking about it again, another inspiration was Newspaper comics. I had a big heart for those when I was younger, especially Non-Sequiter.

Thank you for your questions, Creepy!

Peace.

  • 3 weeks later...

Midori - Beloved

Ellenore - Gentle

Kellogg - Chill

Black - Fly

Sheryl - Sweet

Homura - Withdrawn

Tomo - Soft

Gladys - Kind

I know I mentioned more, but these are the ones that come to mind concerning single word description. Although I thought of others, I had difficulty summing them up in one word.

What kind of wonderland do you have? Do all of your tulpas live in the same area? I have a bunch of thought forms living in a village nearby my wonderland house and I was wondering how it worked for you.

I have 10 tulpas, but I'm only actively working on Reah, my first tulpa currently.

I'm actually pretty happy that you asked, as I've had it in mind to document my landscape, even if a little bit here.

Since the comment is somewhat long, I decided to put a song I like here as well: Sonic BTS - Titanic Tower Act.1

There are two areas in my landscape I'm most familiar with: The Inner Hub/Nexus, and the Garden. The first one was actually the first "wonderland" I made when I started Midori, taking the form of a void with a small table. When I decided to make a more detailed landscape, I kept the original one inside a glass booth, in the center of what would become the Garden. It's current iteration is far more elaborate and detailed, and the booth is bigger on the inside by a lot. Inside the booth, is a stone brick floor, the main section being in a circular formation. In the middle of the circle, is a circle of grass, and when I imagine myself in there, it is where I "spawn", with whatever I happen to be sitting on at the time.

North of that circle, is a small set of stairs, that leads to another smaller section, which has four doors (Another, fifth door s hidden beyond those four). There are also doors in the main circle, one at the head that leads outside of the booth, in to the Garden, two more on one side, and another door oposite of those two. Each other these doors except for one leads to someone's living space/domain. The separate one leads to a memory palace I was testing with.

There are chest high walls around the area, and no ceiling, a starry sky above, that sometimes with a moon, sometimes showing a sunset. There are 4 street lights dotted at the corners of the landmass, each made from gem/colored orbs given to me by Arale. Three of them are in the main circle, the forth on is at the head of the upper area. On the right hand side of the inner circle, the side with two doors instead of one, is a small, hidden staircase that leads down, in to a small area, bordered by a large sea. In this area, is a single tree, and I haven't noticed any grass, but that's just because I haven't spent too much time in that place.

I initially returned to the Nexus because I was having problems being in the Garden, it was too much for me to take in at the time, as I was out of practice with visualizing/imagining. So I went in to the booth to be alone, and to readjust myself, as at the time it was still mostly a void. Little did I expect, I began to have folks start appearing, or moving in with me in there, thus where all those doors, except for the one leading to the Garden and the Memory palace come from. It's currently the first place I think of, aside from a void, when I try to go inside myself.

The garden is a bit more elaborate, and obvious larger than the Nexus. It is the first true "Wonderland" I made for Midori, and later Ellenore. Like the Nexus, the initial view of it is circular, a round grassy clearing with bordered by trees. As stated earlier, the Nexus booth is in the center, which is bordered by well kept shrubs, and that is bordered by a tiny brook. I brick road is laid before the Nexus Booth's door, and leads past the brook, in to the grassy area of the Garden. At the sides of the initial circle formation, are bulletin boards, placed there by Blossom, telling of events going in inside. I haven't looked at those recently, though.

The grassy circle gives way to small woods, that surprisingly also have grass in them, despite the trees. The past/inside the woods are the two major houses of my initial girls, Midori and Ellenore. If you were at the center, near the nexus door, and facing north, Ellenore's home would be beyond the barrier of the woods, on a grassy hill. To the southeast, in a clearing in the woods, is Midori's home. Both of them are quite large, and house many other residents inside of them. Beyond the woods to the west, you will first run in to a canal. Following it to the south, you will then run in to a city, which for all intents and purposes, seems to be completely empty. I haven't looked around inside of it for a long time, though I remember placing Sheryl there when she first emerged, as I was more prone to panicking and hiding instances of unexpected emergence. There are some personal symbols there, as well, which I will not detail here.

That's a rough description of the two main areas. There's a lot more to it than that, but I wish not to overload myself and the reader. Really, after writing all this down, I get the idea that it would be good to draw all this stuff our, at least to start with an over head view of things, so it's easier to recall.

Thanks for the question Raetin, and thanks for reviving my thread, Vosaiu!
