Link4everOot July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 Hello everyone, I'm new to both these forums as well as the ideas of Tulpa's as well. I'd just like to ask a few questions before I really decide whether or not I should dig into this kind of thing. 1. How much does you age, stress level and mental health matter in the creation of a Tulpa? I'm relatively young and have lost my mom and left and abusive father. I am not depressed, or contain repressed anger, I'd just like to know how this would effect anything if it even would. 2. I don't desire a sexual Tulpa, I am happy with my current situation when it comes to girls, I am more interested in whether or not I can access my inner self through one. So I guess my question is, is there any way to have a Tulpa be 'me' and merely be a terminal for my subconscience? 3. Would there be any backlash for just creating a terminal? Thank you in advance, Link4everOot
glitchthe3rd July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 You shouldn't make a tulpa of yourself, ever. Bad things happen. If you want to avoid having sex with them or whatever, consider making them the same gender as you (unless you're into that sort of thing). You also shouldn't make a tulpa just to access your subconscious. They're sentient beings that need care and attention, so you should also think of them as a friend/bro/companion/whatever. At least. Leviathor July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 I can't imagine why you'd want to make a mindless terminal, the whole reason tulpae seem interesting to me is the fact that they're sentient beings.
Nikodemos July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 1. As far as I know, it doesn't really affect your tulpa. 2. No. Creating yourself as a tulpa is bad, very bad. You should never do that. 3. Tulpa is a sentient, self-aware being who lives in your brain. If you want to use it just to have a terminal to your subconcious, you're here for the wrong reason. Link4everOot July 25, 2012 Author July 25, 2012 Thank you for the fast responses. I'll probably make a bro, thanks Glitch. Why is creating yourself bad? At this point I'm just curious. Also, would I still be able to access my subconscience?

We do not know if age matters. It's certainly beneficial when you are mentally healthy and have a high stress resistance, but it shouldn't be a big deal. If you have repressed memories, you might cause them to surface. 2. Why is creating yourself bad? At this point I'm just curious. Also, would I still be able to access my subconscience? You'd have to make sure your second self wouldn't want the same that you want. It's certain that you are asking for trouble here. What if your second self thinks this body belongs to him? What if both of you desire the same girl? Two people with one interest never ends good. Ah, the sharing interests example makes sense. This is all very interesting, thank you for the response. I am going to be going to couciling soon, so for the sake of health, I think I will wait until I am finished with my sessions before I try.
SSaint July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 Wouldn't it be safe to make a servitor as a terminal? It wouldn't mind, and it should be just as functional as a tulpa in that regard. Actually, how do you even intentionally make a servitor? How do you prevent something from developing sentience while endowing it with abilities similar to a tulpa? “There is not enough love and goodness in the world to permit giving any of it away to imaginary beings.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
Exceed July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 Parrot. Puppet. That's what I've heard. That shit prevents sentience. That's why it's so bad for tulpae. Also, don't think of it as a tulpa. Use it. It's nothing but a husk. Feel free to fuck up.
TulpaCouple July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 Also, don't narrate. Don't talk to the servitor as if it is a living being. Your mind will never connect the servitor with any sentience if you do not believe it has any.
