You got the idea. With the reaction, it could be from a emotional response, head pressures, or a vocal response. Remember to work on form and personality.

Thanks for the help, Any advice how to start on personality, I suggested writing down as many characteristics and saying in my head what I want them to be from reading the paper. Will that work?

You can talk to your tulpa while doing anything. Speaking to it in your head works. While speaking out loud is purportedly better than speaking in your head, it is better to have constant narration in your head than it is to narrate only a little bit out loud when you can find time to yourself.

When you are narrating, just make sure to keep your tulpa in mind. Just speak with the attitude that there is somebody listening. That's all it takes for it to be narration instead of talking to yourself.

You can work on personality in many ways. Basically, you just want to have an idea of what your tulpa's personality will be like, and you want to know it intuitively. How specific or vague you make your tulpa's personality is up to you, and how you go about creating and understanding it is up to you. You can use just about any technique that you can come up with. Some people just describe their tulpa's personality, others use a visualization method. I let myself become relaxed until I could feel a sort of pressure between my hands. I then assigned traits to this pressure by trying to feel a specific emotion, then mentally directing that feeling towards the pressure I 'held.'

From what I understand, it's really hard to screw up a tulpa so long as you narrate and have sessions consistently, and don't parrot it.

-Friedrich Nietzsche

Yeah, make sure to describe the traits as much as you can and how this fits in with your tulpa. For example, my tulpa is tolerant, but it doesn't mean she'll tolerate everything. Another is being open-minded: she considers the idea and see's how it can work with something instead of just throwing idea away. Of course there's different ways to do personality, but that's how I do it, but in much more detail.

Edit: Also what SSaint said.

I have 10 tulpas, but I'm only actively working on Reah, my first tulpa currently.

I will, I will talk to her, believe she is there. I will tell her what she likes and who she is, ill spend a couple hours at work talking to while I clean and do dishes on top of before i go to sleep. Ill believe in her and myself. Ill let her know ehat to expect if she would just give me a sign, if I can actually have a friend recap what I learned then itll all be worth it.

To help you with personality, I suggest you pick traits that reflect how you want your tulpa to be. To be less vague, for me, I want a tulpa that I can just talk to and hang out with. So I picked some traits that would make her easy to talk to and be around. Like intelligent, open minded, tolerant and witty to name a few. Just a few of the traits I would look for in a bro I could hang out with and talk with. I also hope that my tulpa can help me with my mental problems. I hope that in creating a tulpa I can have someone to talk to and won't judge me. So keep in mind what your creating your tulpa for during any sessions, I find that this helps me picking her personality traits and it gives me a goal to work towards. That's why I chose my tulpa to be a girl, I find it easier for me to talk to girls.

I'm a high so sorry if I'm not making sense or rambling.

Sounds good.

Good luck on your tulpa.

Ive devoted about 3-4 hours talking to the tulpa I would like, I let them know what they are like and told them my desire for companionship and begging for a sign for motovation. I have confidence in myself but is there any advice you can give me? I understand itll take longer but I feel like i havent progressed

Just remember your probably not going to get any signs in one day, really the hardest part is to keep going on with the process. You will progress, as long as you stick with it, you'll definitely get a tulpa. Keep narrating throughout the day, it seems most tulpa believe that this is the most important part in the creation. I wouldn't consider it forcing since really your doing other things during the time, but it's still gives the mindset that they're listening.

OK I'm about 4-5 hours into it, I just can't concentrate, I do 5-10 minute sessions when I watch the dogs in the yard, drive, work and before bed but I just can't focus real well, Due to the stress and other personal issues I had an emotional breakdown before I went to sleep simply begging for her to be there to talk to me and clear my head, my desperation is the biggest cause for my impatience, I read the only way to give it energy is to "interact" with it but I have all the time, money and energy to focus on her but is there anyway to give her more energy, I just want to simply work on narration, basically having her voice in my head to make the rest easier.
