Hi,

I've been working on Mia for over a year now but the progress we've achieved is almost nothing and i feel i'm not putting all i could on developing her.

I have serious problems on focusing on her. I still dont understand narration completely, and when i do what i think narration is i'm always shifting away in seconds and i completely forgot about it for minutes or hours or more.

I've been calling narrating "dialoguing" as, as i understand, is talking to your tulpa. I consider Narrating more like telling a story, describing what's happening, and so... And i do this not that often writing down everything in my computer. And while doing this get to keep my focus on it.

But the problem is that in any other activity i lose my focus on Mia extremely fast.

Do you have any tips that can help me advancing more?

Also, can you explain me more about narration?

And what other things can i do? I've been trying lucid dreaming to see Mia there but i havent been able to do it :/

I mean, She's a year and 3 months and we havent advanced what we should had in that time

What people kinda recommend for this is wearing a bracelet, writing something on your hand, changing phone/computer wallpapers, or setting reminders throughout the day to remind you of your tulpa. After a while of this, I guess the point is that once the habit becomes concrete enough you can move past needing a visual reminder.

We're all gonna make it brah.

You want to focus more, and use narration as a tool to help sustain that focus of your tulpa? I made a guide here on several methods you could use.

I didn't seem to have a hard time focusing on my tulpas with those methods, and the worst part, I'm still trying to pursue a day where I did at least half a day of forcing via image streaming. But I only got to like

, unfortunately. Two hours short, and people still tell me I need to tup more, and armchair less, FML.

That was actually stated by someone, but I haven't seen their level of forcing that I can't hold a candle to, either; they must be on some next level tulpaing.

On a serious note, I understand your sentiment. And all I can suggest to you is to keep pushing yourself.

If narration isn't your thing, don't think of it as that. Think of it as just... talking to your tulpa. Instead of telling them what's going on, ask their opinion on it... did you like the movie we just saw? Do you like the meal we're eating? What do you think we should do on our day off? If you strain for conversation topics, pick up a book or card deck of conversation starters. Or, if your tulpa isn't up to responding yet, tell her your opinions, and why. Talk about stuff your love... share what you're passionate about with her, and you should have plenty to talk about. :)

Narration is about sheer time put into it, so if narration in the classic sense doesn't do it for you, find something else to do that keeps your interest and therefore focus. Write stores about them, or play an RPG where they help dictate what the character does, or read a play and assign parts for each of you to play, or watch a Youtube video and spend a couple minutes talking about it afterward... the possibilities are pretty broad. The point is that you are spending time talking to her. It's all right if she doesn't answer back at first, but we've found that expecting an answer back can be part of what helps make it happen.

Those are really good examples, thank you :)

i tried RPG once with Mia and it was amazing... she died like in 15 minutes, but i felt her really excited about it... unfortunately the campaign ended the following week so i was't too long....

And what i find helpful is image streaming, specially for visualization. For narration i'll try to figure out more what she likes. I left almost all her likings to be chosen by her (I only want that she likes the same music i do hahaha) and one thing i found she loves is space. I think i can talk to her more about that...

Another thing: how do we get to make her voice clearer and different from my mind"s voice? or does it just happen from sudden?

This is the kind of thing that gradually changes over time.

A lot.

Yep.

You can workshop it a bit by finding a voice model that sounds like what you want the tulpa to sound like (audiobooks are good for this, since you're listening to the same voice for several hours). But it takes a lot of concentration and reinforcement to do it this, and it still takes time to get any sort of clarity no matter what. So yeah, be patient. You'll get there. :)
