DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 I read that some people play game with their tulpa. Has anyone actually tulpaforced them into one? Like have them run along side you in Assassins Creed. Or be a partner in crime in GTA. Things like that. Name: Assistant Form: Human female Progress Report Last night I said I didn't have a name for her and was cut off with a reply. I couldn't hear the beginning properly but it sounded like Dori but I couldn't hear the first letter as clear and can't tell whether it was an N or a D What's her name?
ThatOneGuy July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 Interesting idea, though I don't think anybody has yet that I know of. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 Well I know what my new project is. JD1215 July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 I brought this up in the IRC not too long ago as a 'LOL GUYS WHAT IF' sort of thing, but I'm not sure how cool it would actually be. Maybe for those people who already let their tulpa duke it out in the wonderland, it'd be cool. For someone like me, well, I'd be devastated to see my poor tuppers exploded in GTA. ;-; WTB: Rare Tulpas
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 They would be invincible. Like the character that almost never fights but appears afterwards, like Midna. QB2 July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 I need to try this. Upon seeing you present the concept in this thread, he "jumped into the computer screen" to test the idea of him being on a screen out. He was walking on top of post boxes and stuff, he quickly jumped out stating it felt kinda claustrophobic in there. I imagine in a game he'd like it more. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 Well now that I know that we can change the topic slightly. Which games would you put your tupla in? Personally my list goes like (Even though I have just started making one) -Assassins Creed *obviously* -DC universe I'd like to make a costume and super suit for mine -Portal -The secret world if I start playing again Name: Assistant Form: Human female Progress Report Last night I said I didn't have a name for her and was cut off with a reply. Citizen Anon July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 You'd have to be careful not to jerk your character's POV too quickly or I'd imagine the tulpa would need a few seconds to adjust to the new angle on the screen Name: Lyra Form: http://i.imgur.com/JjMxK.jpg Sentience: Emotional responses, occasional brief vocalization Currently doing: Personality & narration

He was walking on top of post boxes and stuff, he quickly jumped out stating it felt kinda claustrophobic in there. I wonder how he saw it. Did he feel as if he had zero thickness? Or did the windows look like thin cuboids to him? Could he see out of the screen? And what if you ran some screenmate programs to give him company? :>
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 Well as far as I understand about tulpaforcing it's simply the knowledge of a character existing that truly makes it real. So if you force it into the game world then by extension that game world now possesses a tulpa layer and if you've played the game much then the map should be familiar and simple to navigate for your tulpa. I'm sure it's a matter of thinking, if you think of the game as a projection on a screen it will be flat and limiting. However if you think in the way you actually play a game that is in 3d space then you would be able to easy incorporate that. Not to mention hud maps and icon that allow you to anticipate the next line of motion. Try to imagine you're looking through a floating window you actually move in the space of the game but you yourself don't move. Like a world on top of a world.
