DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 Yeah but to be honest this delves more into Behaviourism and Cognitive psychology, he just didn't read it. Name: Assistant Form: Human female Progress Report Last night I said I didn't have a name for her and was cut off with a reply. I couldn't hear the beginning properly but it sounded like Dori but I couldn't hear the first letter as clear and can't tell whether it was an N or a D What's her name?
Bluesleeve July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 I'm not sure how this is going to change my personal perception of a Tulpa. Yes, I agree with you that a Tulpa has the same potential as you have and doesn't choose to control the body (your form) but its own form. Still, I don't quite understand what you mean by " it exists you just have to perceive it". Does it already exist in the unconscious or somewhere else? I find it hard to believe a Tulpa already exists and you just pull it out from somewhere. And honestly, your description "You may think that a tulpa is a mentally generated being with it's own sentience that you have created." isn't contradicting with anything you just stated in the slightest. Could also just be my understanding of your post. I would be happy if you could elaborate in how far this statement isn't completely true. What is a Tulpa? Blog Rainbow 'Alyx' Dash Pronto
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 We'll I see people being confused a lot and trying to focus on minor details that it never get's going. It's meant to tell people to relax and act like it's already there. What I mean by it already exists, is two part. Part one is that it's made from a part of us, part 2 is the second you have an idea you try and bring that out. You never start with a blank canvas and then you work up with your mind, it's usually an entire scene or imagery that we see for only a second and we spend the rest of the time trying to describe it to somehow bring it back. But focusing on the broad picture will bring out the traits as it clears. Fenrir August 19, 2012 August 19, 2012 I have read through the post properly and in its entirety and WHY IS THIS POST HERE??? it is not claiming parapsycological phenomenon such as telekinetic abilities and does not show metaphysical properties ... Unless you wanna relate the fact that the definition of real is discussed as to what is real. Other than that, a very well written post without going in to (from how I am reading it), much if any paranormal exploits. How I am understanding it (possibly wrongly) is thinking as if it was written purely from a Psycological perspective On our own perception of the world. Anyone else thinking this?
Ilúvatar August 20, 2012 August 20, 2012 ^ agreed. I agree with the thread in general and find it a bit interesting even but I don't see how it belongs in metaphysics. "My dear, I used to think I was serving humanity... and I pleasured in the thought. Then I discovered that humanity does not want to be served; on the contrary it resents any attempt to serve it." ~ Jubal Hershaw from A Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein
Oguigi September 13, 2012 September 13, 2012 So me and Oguigi are both Tulpa! Wow surreal dude! pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.
oi-stein September 16, 2012 September 16, 2012 In Buddhism, everything is a thoughtform (tulpa) you had to think of that before you made it this includes most people. their parents had to think of them before they "made" them. Om Mani Padma Hung
sanctum-eos September 17, 2012 September 17, 2012 To people who are still confused about how tulpae already exist, it's really quite simple. Your "Id" is basically your tulpa, it's your unconscious train of thought, drives, and motives. It has existed before you even learned about something such as your own subconscious. I like to combine psychological and metaphysical perspectives. :D tumblr DeviantArt SoundCloud
Tungan Ninja September 17, 2012 September 17, 2012 And I wrote all this while NOT stoned. I came to this same conclusion as well; and obviously not stoned. Day 290 (11/6/2013) Why even keep the time anymore? Can the cryogenically frozen live again? The first step in creating a tulpa is believing that it exists.
Goldsmith September 17, 2012 September 17, 2012 Nice Thread, this is very close to mine and Lia's school of thought.
