Floh, what I do is wing it and fill the post with random babbling that looks like I was trying to say something intelligent.  Oh wait, you did.  DOH!  Now I have to!  Hold on, I have to commute home first.

I will just say I agree with your last post and it was very moving.

I am not sure about that.  Where do you get that idea?

It is entirely possible that certain loud members of the community end up looking like the majority, even if they aren't. It is also entirely possible that I spend too much time on threads named things like "once a believer" and "are tulpa's real sentience?"

But tulpas need to be realistic and realize like 99% of the world are going to think they are imaginary friends being role played by an internet geek.  They need to learn to tough it out.

I see. tough love. But your position, here, is opposed to the goal of a happy, friendly and pleasant forum.

I would disagree on general principles, as well. Contributing to a problem as a sort of mental vaccine? Usually, I would say, two wrongs don't make a right. I would also usually say, a strong support base is essential for marginalised communities. Eroding that support kills the community and, possibly, damages its members.

I would agree with your assessment if this was a university, and we were training people for real world jobs.

this forum is the only place I can be myself, literally

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

I don't understand confining yourself to only a few websites. Like the old meme goes, no one knows you're a dog on the internet (if you don't tell em)

We're all gonna make it brah.

On the internet, nobody knows you're a tulpa

I go to other websites, but I can't really socialize and stuff as myself is what I mean. Obviously I can play multiplayer games but that's as deep as it gets. I've left a few youtube comments with my account I guess. Idk, tulpa.info is the only place where people really know me. Everywhere else I have to "be Lumi", you know? Luckily typing like myself isn't weird to his friends

By which maybe you mean that everyone must agree with the tulpa's are independently sentient consensus in order for it to be a happy, friendly and pleasant forum for tulpas?  I feel just the opposite.  Demanding that everyone conform to one group think is oppressive and annoying.  I see no reason to do that just because it makes someone uncomfortable and unhappy that I don't think the way they do.

I have no idea what you are talking about contributing to a problem and "eroding support" for the community or damaging its members. What two wrongs? That sounds like religion talk to me.  What problem?  You mean the problem of being an individual thinker?

In my case I totally support this community.  In fact, I have been the one of the most active and supportive members this forum has ever seen.  I simply don't believe what you believe and see things differently than you do about the nature of tulpas.  I don't see my views as a problem at all.  You do, but I don't.

In fact, I have stated many times that I thought it was a huge mistake for the community to emphasize tulpa sentience.  I wish to the gods they had not done that in the beginning.  It lead to proto-religious zeal, division and elitism.  It should have been left to individuals to decide for themselves what they think instead of making it some sort of a founding principle of faith.  Tulpas as illusory figments may be the minority view on Tulpa Info, but I am  hardly the only one who thinks this way.  I just happen to be the most vocal of that minority group.  It's unrealistic to expect those with the minority view to stay silent just so that the majority can feel comfortable and secure.

People were too afraid to be talking to themselves and couldn't take their tulpas seriously. So even though there's that, it's still kinda better than everyone living in total doubt. With the assumed sentience in general safety net people can think more about the actual "sentience" nature of their tulpas without feeling like one wrong thought and their tulpas are fake. Maybe?

I mean I don't understand that subject at all myself, not only does it not make sense but it also doesn't mean anything. Plain and simple, you either feel like and believe you are talking to someone else, or you don't. There's no sentience or unconscious puppetting...

if i say it enough the spoon will disappear
