Take your time on visualization. It sounds like your trying to rush this. Don't try to visualize all of him/her/it at once. Focus on one part of him/her/it at a time, try to get down what it looks like exactly then move on to another part. Try viewing at all angles oce you get down what you want it to look like. Try zooming in, so to speak, on the part your working on as well, this helped me. And the face is one of the hardest parts to do, it took me the most time. After your done with every part then look at your tulpa from all angles, if you see a part that is not detailed enough, then try to go over it again.

What i'm TRYING to do is first visualize my tulpa, and have him/her or it, haven't decided yet stand there. as I talk to it. But getting the face is so hard. I try drawing what I want it to look like but then when I imagine my tulpa, the face always looks like the drawing, or something. I'ts kind of hard to explain. It doesn't look like a person, rather comical. Am I doing it wrong? I've decided the traits and everything so should I talk to it as still an idea?

It doesn't really matter if it's realistic or cartoonish as long as you get it's/her/his facial expressions right, So when you visualize the tulpae you should have those facial expressions corespond to emotions.

I think I just need to decide on a him/her/it. I was thinking of a skeletal tulpa, but the problem is the bone structure would have to be studied. I might stick with a her. Thanks for everyone's advice. If anyone has any other tips on visualization it'd be appreciated :)

Azrael... isn't that death?

And your profile pic... that's Marquis Andras , a so called "great Marquis of hell" , right?

Well whatever,

Not sure if it would be entirely safe for you to make an "angel" tulpa really. (but then again, who am i to judge)

Going by what others have said it's all really got to do with what you believe so if you think that it will rebuke you for your sins it will , if you don't it won't. simple as that. Anyway , my advice would be, don't make anything you'd be uncomfortable with. I mean even if you fear it just a little bit... don't do it. (but keep in mind i am quite new to this as well, i don't really know much on the subject either so i could be wrong)

And I don't think you should make it believe that it is an angel. Let it know that it is a tulpa, it just looks like an angel. Hell, mine pretty much looks like a devil but he's not one.

Right, you sent me a private message but seeing that it had to do with my advice of studying (I believe?), it might help others too if they somehow stumble their way here and accidentally read this.

Of course studying helps when you want to make something. You can look at a car for a moment and then try to imagine it. You'll go explore your imagined car in detail and you notice that because you didn't take much notice in some things, your brain will either try to fill in the blanks in a way it thinks makes sense (and probably get them wrong, if you haven't studied it a lot. Perhaps horribly wrong, if you don't know much about cars, making your imagined car something that would work in real life) or you just realize that shit I don't know, what will I do? And snap out of it, disappointed that you couldn't see it. Now, if you were to study the thing you want to see, understand how it works and how it looks, you don't have to keep imagining everything right all the time, your brain will do it for you.

You can look at artists and their drawings. Let's make someone skilled in human anatomy and one not skilled in anatomy draw a similar, complex pose without reference. Let's say they both are able to draw well, other just has studied this field more. They draw, but they do not have a reference, they have to use their imagination and knowledge. The one who understands anatomy knows how it works so it looks right in our eyes, the one who isn't has to let their brain fill in the blanks but the brain doesn't know, so something looks off. You get better as you practice, but you will just get better at drawing unless you study what you want to draw. Then you get better at making them look like they are supposed to. No matter the style, one needs to understand realism first before they can apply the style to that. Otherwise you end up with scary shit.

Our brain knows when something looks off when it comes to familiar things, humans especially are very familiar to us. It is very easy to create something that ends up in the uncanny valley and not realize what makes them that unless you study. Look at real, living people, how they move, theirs faces, look at photos and skeletons (especially if you want to create one with visible bones like you are, I assume?). Drawing tuppers helped me a lot to really imagine them, but you need to be able to translate that drawing into a real person if you want them to look like that. So study real things for that. And don't draw a kawaii animu moeblob for reference if they're not supposed to look like that. And why not sculpt a tulpa if you're better at creating a reference like that? Would be 3D, real and you could look at it from every direction! It is difficult though, unless you already have the skill.

Oh and when imagining your tupper, you don't just have to see them, you can also feel them. It is important for me to be able to feel the shapes and everything under that skin. I like anatomy and studying it, I'm not perfect of course, but I've never had a problem of my tulpa looking cartoony, out of proportion and his limbs haven't grown or gotten longer or something, like some other people have reported happening to them. Face also was easy, because I knew his face well before I started his form. It has changed from what it was because deviation tends to happen, but it looks normal even though the changes weren't under my control.

You know your christian mythology. But Azrael is an angel.

Anyways.

Do Tulpas know anything about you? Or is that for you to choose? I want my Tulpa to be kind of a manifestation of my subconcious so I can ask it about my past and stuff. I don't know if that makes any sense.... but yeah.

One of the few people who you can hate for who they truly are.

You can give them access to memories and your subconcious. They can tell and show you stuff if they want to.

Roswell seems to understand me pretty well. He seems to talk a lot about knowing and understanding, which mean different things. Knowing is something he uses when we talk about my memories or knowledge. He says he knows them, but he doesn't quite understand them as they aren't quite his. He lacks the process of making discoveries I did when learning things and he only knows the end result as he didn't experience them himself. But me, me he understands. I'm sure as time goes on, he'll understand more about the things he didn't before.

But don't make a tupper just for using them to do things. They are living, real beings. They should be your friends, first and foremost. They can choose to not help you. They're not assholes, but they have their own will. And I'm sure no one would like to exist just to be used for something. Perhaps they will even become a very different person in the end, but nothing you won't like.

I know but if my Tulpa had access to my subconcious he would be experienced. Instead of repeating the whole process again. Or is that just me looking for a shortcut and being a dick?

Nah, but I tell you I thought Roswell would know (and actually understand) everything I do. He doesn't, but he wants to learn. Maybe they will know everything or they won't. Who knows, you just gotta try.
