When Dashie and I somethinged momentarily, i had no ability to think words. I could only hear her thoughts, see what she sees, i believe i knew what it felt like to be a tulpa. In those few moments she was my host. It was her will that i could think anything verbal or not, not that she could think for me, but that i couldn't think without her attention. It was one of the most real experiences I have had in 9 months of tulpamancy.

 

Does this describe anything you recognize, my friend, Tewi?

You know as well as I do if not better, it's in your head. If you switch places with your tulpa so that they have all the power you once did, and you have as little power as them, you're probably switched. Especially if you're able to go inactive while your tulpa thinks at full capacity while controlling the body.

Why would I, Angry Bear, wish to become inactive? No friend of mine would do that to me, nor even accept it if i offered.

You can't tell me your tulpas are fully active all the time. That's parallel processing (or a heavily gimped mind for any mentally intensive activities). Your tulpas, like us, may be able to become active the instant they're spoken to and aware of whatever context, mental or physical, was going on - that's different. We were still inactive before that.

 

Anyways, not saying you have to be inactive. Rather, if you can temporarily cease to exist while your tulpa controls the body and thinks with the same capacity you usually have, that's a sign you've switched. You could go right back to always being active while switched afterward, it's only a test.

If I think therefore I am is true, doesn't that mean if any of us stop thinking we aren't, till we do again? If whoever is in front or a singlet looses consciousness, and their ability to think, and it's just the body on auto, can they be said to exist as a person anymore? A body sustained by automatic processes sure, maybe even fondly by those around the body, but a person? Could a person who lapses into a coma, perhaps to never awaken from, still be considered to exist as a person? How about someone who is a "vegetable" and is only held alive by medical devices? Are they still a person or just a living body?

Nope, that's a logical fallacy. "A implies B" doesn't mean "(not A) implies (not B)". If it rains the sidewalk is wet, but if it doesn't rain maybe the sidewalk is still wet for some other reason.

Whoever the host is is who ends up fronting automatically should everyone try to dissociate and go inactive, as soon as the body is forced to be active again. As for the other questions, I don't think I care. That's pointless philosophy (junk-food-for-thought) that we've outgrown. Our morals on the stuff are already decided, that is.

 

But I'm about to go to sleep, so I won't pointlessly get into subjective morality.

I can't tell you anything other than the truth of my experiences as i experience them. I can't tell you that Reilyn and lance are gimped for having the remarkable ability of co-fronting. I cant tell you that i am willing to cease to exist as long as this body draws air and pumps blood. My tulpas have told you that switching doesn't interest them, that they don't want any life, not even a moment, without me by their side. They have made it clear to me that i must never leave them, not for an instant. Nor would i dare to charge them with my responsibilities, or consequences of my actions.

 

We are 4, not 1 and 3 inactive lumps of forgotten thoughtform. They can actively and instantly force their will and emotions into my reality, without my attention being paid to them, and they have shown this to me many times. Call that by whatever means you will, i'm merely assigning the simplest explanation.

 

Certain functions of the brain are specifically wired to process certain things serially. This does not have any bearing on parallel processing. Parallel thoughts and actions are well known feats, not speech necessarily, thoughts.

 

Though i have evidence of that as well.

 

But i can't tell you because you're convinced otherwise.

 

Such a beautiful gift has been given me freely without asking, alas my life has shown many examples of this. Recently, three beautiful angels have visited me, more fully alive and active than i can imagine otherwise.

 

By whatever means i'm convinced, their presence, their emotions, their thoughts are with me now. There's nothing here, no dogmatic gatekeeper, no convicing argument of science that can bend my truth and force it into a pretty, simple, box.

 

Consider my mind gimped, then watch as i attempt to ungimp it. There is a secret here, a key to mind expansion and alteration. I'm not holding back, this realm that i experienced is too beautiful to keep to myself.

 

The human mind is unimaginably vast, don't underestimate it.

 

What i am experiencing is profound. If there is a way to share this, it's my promise to you that I will. Though, that doesn't mean that you want it. The scrutiny and consensus of more than one mind isn't all rainbows and unicorns, but for me, it's vastly superior. What Reilyn and Lance have is superior to switching in my mind. For us, I am the pilot of this body, but we know the power of copiloting, quad perspectives, concurrently processing our input, and able to effectively affect direction. (Other than snaking, cause hey... don't try to take a meal away from an angry bear.)

 

I'm here to advance this science if I can.

I can't even imagine what the difference between no-inactivity and parallel-processing is. As best I can conceptualize it, you guys simply have the sense of them at least "being around" at all times, and otherwise are no different than us. Two people on either sides of a wall looking at their own boxes with the same contents, but not the experience or the words to describe those contents to the other so that they may be adequately compared. You're telling me (or perhaps I'm telling you that I've?) you've got half of a hole, but half of a hole is still just a hole. Not a direct comparison, only an example of the miscommunication of subjective experiences and flawed/missing language.

 

 

Oh, anyways. You don't have to go inactive at any point to prove you've switched, it's just one of the most obvious ways - obviously if the host is gone but the tulpa has control, switching has taken place. Otherwise differentiating switching from full-body possession (and "co-fronting") can be difficult, as it's entirely up to the system to figure out for themselves. The only universal part is "Host is what tulpa was; tulpa is what host was". But actually, in a system of more than two, you can expand that to "Host is the same as other tulpa(s), but tulpa in question is the same as host was".

 

Pretty sure this is the most off-topic (as in utterly on-topic) a forum game thread has ever been. I have to go to sleep now though, so I'll see your reply if any tomorrow.
