Breloomancer December 11, 2018 December 11, 2018 Switching is very much a mindset sort of thing, I can't say much more than that on the subject because it's not something that I can accurately describe. I also think that it is a good thing that you are working out cats apprehension with the concept, because that is almost certainly holding you back I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Ranger December 12, 2018 Author December 12, 2018 Cat had a long day and an exam today. I didn't get enough time in the front, and I didn't feel stable enough today to try this. Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile. I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron. My other headmates have their own account now, but it's outdated and I can't be bothered to update it If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me! Guest December 12, 2018 December 12, 2018 Of course you appreciate all of Cat's dedication and effort, and her drive to succeed, so that both of you will have a more comfortable life. So it's not at all a big deal, and we understand completely.
Ranger December 13, 2018 Author December 13, 2018 Today I didn't get much time in the front, but I had a chance to front for a little while before beginning the process. I had some trouble with Cat being more likely to steal the front, but after about 20 minutes on discord or so I felt stable enough to begin the process. I wanted to recall the experience in as much detail as possible, so I wrote the detailed version in a hidden tag. The process in short was- 1) I fronted and laid the body down in a comfortable position 2) Once Cat was in front, I "locked" her limbs one at a time. Some tingling sensations made her uncomfortable. 3) Cat got bored, relaxed a bit, and played around with the idea of leaving the body. 4) Cat became anxious when she realized she was drooling and it felt too close to her throat. Once the drool started to disrupt her breathing, I took the front, got up, and stretched. 5) After laying down and letting Cat front into her "locked" position, Cat felt uncomfortable and she was done. Start - 5:55 pm End - 6:21 pm [hidden] I started in the fronting position. I laid down and made sure that we were in a comfortable position. Cat reported that she was a little bit cold, but there's not much we could have done about it and I removed Cat's hoodie because I didn't want her to sit funny on the hood and become uncomfortable later. Cat was a little nervous, and I made her breathe for a little bit longer. I then told her that her left leg, left arm, right leg, and finally her right arm were "locked" and she wasn't allowed to move anymore. This process took some time and I made Cat breathe in between. During the transition where 3 limbs were "locked", Cat felt like she had to move so I took a fronting position, satisfied the toe and hand tics, and then Cat continued where she left off. Finally, she wasn't allowed to move her head or face, but I wanted her to have full control of her breathing. Sometimes Cat became anxious and her heart rate would accelerate, and one of her insecurities is not having enough air or not being able to breathe. She reported having a tingling sensation in her arms and legs and occasionally she will feel a buzzing sensation throughout her body, which can make her feel dizzy. She complained that she was a little bored, and I encouraged her to continue. As time passed, I asked if she was interested in "switching" and she wanted to continue sitting in her locked position. She eventually told me that she felt that it was relaxing. She still had the tingling and sometimes buzzing sensations, and she reported that her limbs felt numb. At one point, she felt like she could no longer tell what her right arm is doing, and in the mind's eye she drew a question mark over her right arm. While she was experiencing this, Cat explored the idea of leaving her body by imagining a green ghost mannequin to represent herself getting out of, floating out of, or moving the body. She also thought about moving around in her wonderland form. Cat then realized her mouth was filling with drool, and she became nervous that she would have drool running down her throat. I told her that the body could probably take care of it, an if it started to interfere with Cat's breathing I would enter a fronting position and move for her. A few moments later, breathing out made a gurgling noise and then she breathed normally. By that point, we used symbolism to illustrate Cat's green liquid drain out of the body and my blue liquid filling the body. I then took a fronting position and got up. I performed some simple stretches and moved around. Our jaw was really numb, and it felt like waking up from a nap. After stretching and moving around for a couple of minutes, I laid down and Cat took the front again. With Cat entering a "locked" body, she felt the tingling sensation again and it bothered her, similar to how she felt when I was "locking" her limbs one at a time. Cat decided she was done and we finished the session. [/hidden] The main differences from last time is we tried to only trade the fronting position when necessary and Cat sat in the locked position for a much longer period of time. We also started using symbolism this time. At the very least, this experience reveals some of the reasons why Cat gets anxious and what she's going through that makes her uncomfortable. Next time, I want Cat to sit on her side so she won't have to worry about choking on her own drool, but otherwise I think this was good progress. Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. Ranger December 20, 2018 Author December 20, 2018 I managed to truly intimidate myself after that last post. We did do this on the 17th, and it wasn't as successful as the last time. 6:00 pm 6:21 pm Cat fronted for most of that day I believe, and when she laid down this time she wasn't in a great state of mind. She was stressed about things she felt she needed to do, all the while trying to calm down. I told her to breathe a lot, and it took a bit longer for her to enter the full "locked" position. She was on her side this time, and part of the problem could have been she never did this on her side before. She felt uncomfortable and tingly, and eventually she decided she was done. I wonder if me fronting before trying this has helped her feel more calm because she hasn't spent earlier parts of the day thinking about things to worry about.
