LeonBrony August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 So Recently I wasn't properly tulpaforcing meaning that I was only doing broken down 5-7 minutes stuff but with a lot of narrating . This is going for like a week now and somedays it only 5 minutes minues narratio(I don't count that time cause I randomly narrate whenever i ge a chance) And I was wondering lately if that was very bad and I hugely delayed the process or even simple screwed up So did I ? I mean sure I believe the delay is inevitable but was what I did very bad for the process ?
NED August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 I believe it is a lot worse to overforce than underforce. Forcing too much can cause headaches and can be very boring and take up lots of time to do other things. Forcing too little means you can take it at your own pace: I too, like to think of my Tulpa on the go, keeping Tulpaforcing sessions at a lowly 5-20 mins. I also have massive (up to 14 days) of not forcing. However, I do not think what I am doing is bad; Silverspeed is okay with it - because I am okay with it. Simple. Going at your own pace and feeling good about it is fine, some people freak out if they dont manage 2 hours a day, others are content at 1 minute a day. It's just a personal thing. It's only when you start to feel guilt about neglecting your Tulpa and when they start ignoring you and losing sentience is when something is wrong. TL;DR Just don't care about how long you force, everyone is different. Only worry when guilt comes around. Name - Silver Form - Harpy Sentience - fully sentient Personality - Playful, cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled Smell - Baileys Stage - Narration and imposition
Knapp August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 I think as long as you force and/or narrate, it's ok. Ignoring or neglecting your tulpa isn't good for them. konrad13 August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 I personally think forcing for a minimum of 30 minutes is probably the best, but that is just me. If it works for you, then kudos, but be sure to supplement this with longer forcing sessions Me: Hey, say something for this thread! Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...
FigN01 August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 Tulpas live off of your attention, so if you don't give much then I don't think you'll see results soon. And from the perspective of a sentient being able to interact with her creator and only other sentient companion for only 5 minutes a day... that sounds shitty.
Charles August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 Linda likes to receive some form of meaningful interaction daily, whether it be through tulpaforcing or a lengthy conversation/game, rather than bits of narration and visualization. This is at least partially her preference, but I imagine many other tulpa have similar feelings on the subject. Your method won't undo progress at all, but it will stagnate it to an extent.
Guest Anonymous August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 You're not going to mess up your tulpa by only forcing in small sessions like that, but it will probably be a long time before any progress is made. If you're also narrating then there's a good chance your tulpa will become sentient before the personality is fleshed out, meaning you won't have much control over their personality. If you're alright with these things then there's not a problem.
Kadoh August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 Careful, you don't want to accidentally start using Fede's method. But you don't want you tulpa to feel neglected, so make sure he/she knows you still care for him/her My opinions are all subject to change.

But you don't want you tulpa to feel neglected, so make sure he/she knows you still care for him/her While I don't use it, I don't think there's anything wrong with Fede's method. You just have to know when the tulpa starts doing stuff on its own so you can stop parroting it.
Kadoh August 19, 2012 August 19, 2012 Does Fede have a vocal & imposed tulpa? My opinions are all subject to change.
