Pashoo August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Gah, the first I'd heard of this, I was listening to someone do a reading (+sound effects) of it. At 2 AM, alone in the house. With the lights off. Freaky stuff, man. Maybe it was just some deep-seated psychological issues. Since the tulpa was just a shadow of him, and let's say he has a terrible jealousy streak, combined with some sadism, then the tulpa would have that too, I guess. And if he figured he didn't need anybody now that he had a tulpa, his tulpa might have gotten jealous at his human interaction reflected that view, making him lash out at his friend. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.
Sorryman54 August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Story is obvious fake. But if the guy actually attempted to make a tulpa instead of tarnishing Tulpae, and his tulpa turned into the Megladon of douches, then he would have a serious problem on his hands. But Tulpae can't scratch you without hurting themselves. Hell, they can't even scratch you in the real world. But possession could be a problem. Also, from the sounds of it, his Tulpa was just a tool (as explained above), and wasn't treated as a equal. They only way to deal with it is to set it straight (like Glitchthe3rd did), or to dissipate it entirely. The odds of this happening is very unlikely. Tulpae aren't assholes most of the time. Most *cough* TOG *cough* of the time. As quoted by Pleeb,"...to be honest, their just big bundles of love...". Also, did anyone notice the time frame it took for him to complete it? He took 6 months. Kinda long, don'tcha think?
Pashoo August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Well, he wasn't working on it the whole time. The thing was already imposed within the first month, but he was still a part of the project, which was supposed to run for six months. Besides, some people have been at it for six months, without much result. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.

Pashoo August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Psh, I wouldn't even say he was working fast. The experiment required him to dedicate 6 hours a day to tulpaforcing. In one month alone, that would be 186 hours, whereas when FAQman was working on his tulpa, he said he took roughly 120 or 130 hours. Regardless if the guy was doing something wrong, there would still be a lot of time to do something right. Well, you know, aside from making a tulpa that would murder all his loved ones. Also, thanks~ An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.

Pashoo August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 6 hours a day.. He would be a wreck from that amount of mental exertion. And then the tulpa killed his family. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.

Kiahdaj August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 The whole idea is pretty much bogus. But I CANNOT be more happy about the fact that it was written. I saw it one day while just browsing the internet, and found myself thinking: "What the Hell is a tulpa?", and then I found myself here. I am very grateful for that. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Aye, the creepypasta did pique my interest into Tulpae. I too am grateful.
