Quite obviously it's made up (the individual and story, not the tulpa concept), but let's say it was a real case. If he asked for help here and provided pretty much the same info as in the story, except for the research center and the paranormal stuff naturally, what would you advise him to do? Where did he go "wrong" with the process? Why did his tulpa deviate into something so horrifying? Did the tulpa perhaps possess his hand to hit that other guy? What could happen if one made a tulpa look like yourself? Everyone just says it's no good, but why? Also, general creepypasta thread. Then I'd say it seems like he used his tulpa as a tool more than anything- some guy who would retrieve his memories and spell out social cues. I'd tell him to start listening, trying to accommodate what the tulpa needs. That kind of abuse couldn't come out of nowhere. His motivations must be that he's tired of being used, tired of helping a person who never helped him in return. That tulpa just needs a hug...

Making a tulpa of yourself is just asking for your shadow to take an observable form for you to see and hear.
QB2 August 22, 2012 August 22, 2012 Well for a tulpa to go so completely fucktastically warped, you'd have to be literally insane, is what I would think... yet he was just some guy who signed up for the experiment, and the labcoats seemed to like his progress... Perhaps they were drugging him against his knowledge because they specifically wanted to see how the tulpa of a specifically mentally unbalanced person would turn out?
