J Moldy August 31, 2012 August 31, 2012 So, I'm rather newly starting my first tulpa (five days in) and my brother knows about it and finds the idea interesting. Since I'm trying to do a lot of narrating, the idea struck me. What would happen if someone else were to narrate to your tulpa? Would that trigger the same growth that normal narration would? Would it have positive, negative, or no effect, in the long term? I do think it'd make it very easy to tell if there's a response from her instead of me making one up (She has yet to communicate back).
TulpaCouple August 31, 2012 August 31, 2012 We did it. It had a positive effect. It limited accidental puppeting doubts(he didn't have the chance to accidentally come up with the answer in his head because I was the one asking it) and it helped the concept of someone else treating your tulpa as a sentient being.
Frosty August 31, 2012 August 31, 2012 I'm assuming that this would only be effective if your tulpa is vocal though, so there's back and forth between tulpa and other person. If she can't communicate yet, I'm not sure how someone else narrating to her would help. If she can't communicate yet, I'm not sure how someone else narrating to her would help. I'm sure it's the same as you talking to it. As long as you know in your mind that the person is talking to your tulpa, I would assume it would hear them. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

This. The day after Glass' "first words", I asked my friend to ask her some questions as a sort of test. What's it like not being able to interact with the physical world? (she wasn't imposed) "It's like dreaming." What do you do when Josh is too busy to talk? "Study." These answers both took me by suprise.
Kadoh September 1, 2012 September 1, 2012 I thought about this, since I have a friend at school with a tulpa. Would feel very silly at the start though My opinions are all subject to change.
Guest Anonymous September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 So, would other people narrating be useful for a non-vocal tulpa within the first few weeks of it being made?
Charles September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Just joining this forum and knowing that there were other people acknowledging her existence did a ton for us, and doing the giant survey led to rapid improvement in vocalization. Together, they pretty much make up the elements of another person narrating and it's very possible that doing the two together would have a synergistic effect as well.
TulpaCouple September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 So, would other people narrating be useful for a non-vocal tulpa within the first few weeks of it being made? Yes. Seems to spark a lot of thought and life and emotional responses from the tulpa. Easier for creator to feel the emotional response and helps the mind acknowledge another being. If so and so is talking to her like a sentient being, then she is one. Etc.
Guest Anonymous September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Thanks. I have a friend which I hope I can get her to interact with either Aria, Szokee, or Slendy. (Im gonna do a poll on which I should do first. I wanna do slendy because there are already videos showing him in different places. So yeah) yes, non have been made yet. I keep having visualizations of slendy bending down in front of me going 'helloooo! Helloooo!' In a raspy voice while im trying to see the chalkboard. Kinda funny. Im trying to impose him first, seeing him in heavily wooded areas. Maybe I could do 'real' sightings. You know the song 'slendy's watching me'? It reminds me of a tulpa. Yes, this is a rant of sorts. Im done. poll link: http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-who-should-i-do-first
