Guest Amaurus September 1, 2012 September 1, 2012 If it is anything like a schizo is when they lose control over their body, they CAN get control back, but it isn't very easy. The only method that I've been told is to try to move your fingers, toes, or clench your fists as hard as possible. Ontopic though, I personally don't think it's possible for the 'tulpamancer' to give permanent control to a tulpæ. It's kind of like driving a car. The car is you. Sure you can give the keys to your tulpa for a little bit, but the fact never changes that you ARE the car.
Lolimancer September 1, 2012 September 1, 2012 You made me remember this post http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Way-out?pid=21809#pid21809. -Tesseract and WreckingFist are the ones I know of who've switched places for short periods (I mean to the point of host actually becoming tulpa for the duration of the switch, not just full-body possession) -there was a guy on the IRC some months ago (goldosmith -- NOT the Goldsmith who's on it now) who said he created a tulpa back in high school and switched places with him for a few years because he had no will to live -back in the /mlp/ threads, there was a guy (generally considered troll then, but now I'm not so sure) who claimed to be a tulpa who switched places with and dissipated a host who wanted to commit suicide -- said he still has and can view the old host's memories but doesn't feel emotional attachment to or ownership of them

Schizos aren't controlled by anyone... Anyway, it is said that it is possible for you to "switch" places with your tulpa. To where you experience what it's like to be a tulpa. So, during this process, I'd assume you'd be pretty detached from you body. And if you have no desire to regain control of your body, I don't see why it's not possible for them to be in primary control over it. "If this can be avoided, it should. Why do people think schizophrenia is DID? I've even had somebody list off all the correct symptoms of schizophrenia during a report, and still call it 'multiple personalities'. I just don't get it.

The thing about tulpae is they are usually whatever you think/want/expect and you usually always have control of things, at least before they can get out of hand. But it makes me wonder if there are people who dislike their life (or themselves) enough to go through this. Objectively, this could be a more productive (but scary) way to commit suicide, since suicide means= pain to loved ones and the loss of all the effort/resources on one person. But if you give in your body to a tulpa (assuming it is mentaly healthy and willing to go for it) who knows, it would be a being with fisical body + access to many parts of the brain, an insta genious. Sounds like an aryan raze or some wacky crazy scientist experiment. Its not puppeting, its blood-bending
