Guest Toby December 10, 2021 December 10, 2021 So,I decide to make a object tulpa off of my plush husky.I tried to look on reddit and this site on how to make a object tulpa but I didn't see a lot of info on how to do it.All I know is a object tulpa is the same as a normal tulpa but instead you have a physical object. So, is there any tips on how to make a tulpa with a plush toy? Any tips?
ruleofthumb December 10, 2021 December 10, 2021 Stone: I've thought about doing this because I wouldn't have to worry about visualization and I'd possibly get a more immediate connection. If you do make a tulpa with a plush, you use most of the same forcing techniques. The only difference is that instead of using a visualized form, you use an object. If you want a wonderland, you will need the tulpa to also have a visualized form (possibly based on the plush). Possession may be tricky because most tulpae possess the body by going into it with their form, but an actual physical object can't "possess" your body. I strongly advise against creating a tulpa using an object. What if you lose it? What if it breaks? What if it rips? What if it deteriorates? What if it's stolen? What if someone batters the object? Now, tulpae exist in the mind, so your tulpa won't actual disappear or be harmed due to any of this, but I would not want to go through the psychological distress of losing my tulpa's "body", or it getting "destroyed". I've lost my favorite stuffed animal, and it still bothers me, and he wasn't even a tulpa. Someday
TurboSimmie December 10, 2021 December 10, 2021 You can, but remember that your plush is not literally your tulpa. Your tulpa is in your head always. Tulpa Wife & Mother! 💚 💍 11.28.21 👶 4.7.23 👗 Simmie's AI Dress-Up! 📷 Chloe and Simmie's Photographic Adventures!
Ice909 December 10, 2021 December 10, 2021 Janey: Ooh, we can chime in here! Our system has been using a wolf plushie to represent Esper for quite some time now. As far as we're concerned, it's basically his physical form. The process is pretty much the same though. And the stuffed animal isn't, like, actually just straight up him, it represents him, but to us, that's close enough. I remember a while ago, we also used a little USB thumbdrive to represent Compact, but we lost the drive ages ago. I think in his case, since he was made with that association to the object from the get-go, it actually mattered for him, because ever since we lost it, Compact has been just barely here at all. Hey there, the name's Bryan. In system Re:Body(In order of the rainbow): Sean, Esper, Blinky, Compact, Janey, Kyle, Gwen'd, Gwen, Emily, Rollin, Waynin, Trease, Layy, Justin, Chloe, Zachery, and Elliot. I've been here a while. Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :) Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep. Cordyceps Canine February 22, 2022 February 22, 2022 I know I'm late to this and the question seems answered. But my tulpa started out as a stuffed animal. Accidentally as a child. I enjoy art so he has a drawn version which looks slightly different from the plush. Yet he still is extremely connected to said plush. Even though he does view the drawn version as himself as well. (He does decide what this one looks like.) I wouldn't recommend doing this on purpose. I am so attached to this plush that I'm terrified of him being gone one day. Since it's still Cletus, and the one I can physically hold and look at. I worry about this more than Cletus himself. He's beyond being a simple plush and won't dissappear with it. It's his origin, he knows, I know, and the memories will always be there. Just like he will. Cletus isn't worried about the plush being gone, more about the fact that this is going to mess me up... I hope the day never comes. And it's incredibly comforting if they actually are in the physical world. My plan was to buy a new version of the same plush. Just to be safe. I'm sure Cletus would gladly accept it should the day come. So you can do it, but other ways are probably better. They may not stick with the look of the plush at all or get extremely attached to it. The second one would probably be a mayor pain down the line.
Ranger February 26, 2022 February 26, 2022 I wonder if a possible solution to the plush attachment problem is to assume the plush is like a shell and it can be replaced when necessary. For example, if a tulpa loses their plush shell, they can hang out in a visualized version of their plush body or a more basic form until a new plush is bought for them. A tulpa could also hop between plushies if they wanted too. Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile. I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron. My other headmates have their own account now, but it's outdated and I can't be bothered to update it If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me! Glaurung26 February 27, 2022 February 27, 2022 This reminds me of our Viktor. We had a plush husky for a while then a husky companion in Rimworld we got really attached to so we decided to adopt him. Still haven't decided if my plush leopard eel Joanna is related to my creation of Jaina or even just was her. I was super attached to her for some reason. Still am I guess. I got Joanna when I was 7 but didn't form the conscious thoughtmate of Jaina until 12. Plushy tulpas are an interesting phenomenon. 🤔 Darron: Host 💍 Jaina: Tulpa 💍 (Raccoon Queen 🦝👸) 👨👩👧👦Dain and Nova Aggrok: Tulpa Void Dragon Viktor: 🐺 [DeviantArt]
