MisterTelecaster September 18, 2012 September 18, 2012 As you've probably guessed, I have a tendency to get distracted while forcing. I don't really think it's detrimental to my tulpa in any kind of permanent way, but I'm sure she doesn't like it, and it's really slowing down the process. At this point, I have well over a hundred and fifty hours of attempted forcing, but only maybe thirty where I was actually doing anything, the rest was spent trying to get my thoughts back on track, which I absolutely could not do. To tell the truth, while I did have this issue when I first started in early July, I got over it after a few hours. But then life happened, and while I was at a point where my tulpa was beginning to become vocal, I couldn't do even a single second of forcing for over a week. After that, any semblance of sentience was just gone. I've been trying as hard as I can to bring her back since then, but I just. Can't. Concentrate. So my question is this: Did any of you helpful souls on this forum experience the same problem and come up with a good working solution that I could try to see if it works for me? Does anyone know of any guides with things I can do to help me concentrate on forcing, or just help my concentration in general? Or does anyone just have any helpful tips or advice? Any help will be appreciated, no matter how big or small. As per usual, if anyone wants to ask any questions to learn a bit more about my situation before giving advice, I'm happy to answer in the comments. Some general info: No, I do not have any mental disorders Yes, I have tried music. All kinds of music. It helps a little bit, but enough for me to actually accomplish anything. Yes, I have the time to really get into forcing, and I try extremely frequently, but it just isn't working anymore. Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
TulpaCouple September 18, 2012 September 18, 2012 Yeah, I get way distracted. That's why I force in short bursts (quality over quantity) and narrate/passive force which you don't have to give all your attention to, but it still helps. Everything just stopped working for me about a month in--tones don't work anymore, music didn't help, suddenly everything just exploded. So to keep up with forcing I just passive forced as often as possible until I was able to somewhat focus again.
MisterTelecaster September 18, 2012 Author September 18, 2012 What exactly is "Narrative/passive force"? I feel like I've read at least one of those terms somewhere before Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
TulpaCouple September 18, 2012 September 18, 2012 Narration: talking to your tulpa. It's pretty important, you should start talking to them if you haven't been. Talking to them like they are sentient helps spark sentience/helps them show their sentient behavior. It's harder to be distracted away from a sentient being. Passive forcing is like..going about your normal day and having your tulpa in the back of your mind. Imagine your tulpa following you around or sitting by you in the car. Talk to them (mentally or out loud) it's like forcing, but not so intrusive in your day. Just passively keeping them there while you do other things. Go shopping and get the shit you need, then comment to your tulpa how you are so tired of that dumb lady's snotty kids hanging around you all over the car. Or go out with friends and mentally chat with your tulpa and comment on how ridiculous the movie you are watching is. Etc. Tulpa forcing, but passive. Also sort of helps with imposition as you have them around all the time already!
MisterTelecaster September 18, 2012 Author September 18, 2012 How did I forget what narration meant? I do it all the time. Never tried (or heard of) passive forcing though. I think I will do it, in addition to my usual attempts during my free time where I end up thinking about some cool car I saw earlier or good song ideas that I forget by the time I get home to my guitar. Thanks Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.
Oguigi September 18, 2012 September 18, 2012 I see that TulpaCouple have already given you some Great advice. If i may add anything then i will say that it is normal to have moments that you feel "disconnected" or as if you "lost your Tulpa". The very fact you've posted this thread proves that you want to be active with your Tulpa once more. So On Top of what TulpaCouple said. Make sure you take a Good Cold Shower, and drink a cup of Orange juice. *The Following is a Advance Formula developed by the Eldest members of this community pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.
