Dawnforge September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 So... yea. As the title says, I'm confused. Which, is funny, because I only noticed a week ago, she could 'talk' or rather, she uses thoughts to talk. Today, she told me, she'd been developing since I had this gigantic reading binge in June where I spent an entire week, from Noon till 5 am reading fan fiction, mostly shipping. I could give the entire story of when she first actually 'moved' but, I'd probably hear her nagging... Anyways, the actual question is not in that, that was somewhat of a back drop... Lately, I've been noticing, while we are 'talking' which, she mostly uses thoughts, and that my body may move to her thoughts, like my tongue will try to form the words when I'm not thinking them, or I'll notice a small gesture she would be making if it was her actually speaking. This worries me, and she isn't sure what to think about it either. We also notice that we'll be finishing each others thoughts, or rather, she'll be finishing my sentences. I'm not worried any of this is too bad... I'm just curious... Has anyone else dealt with this before? I hope I'm not actually driving myself to insanity, I may end up being late for work if I do that. Thanks, in advance. 'They call me... Hotel Tulpafornia...' Tulpa(s): Luna and Twilight.
SSaint September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 A tulpa borne of shipfics, whose form was The Night, more powerful than any before it. The prophecy spoke of this. We were warned. Anyways, my best guess at what is going on here is that whatever barriers exist between a host and tulpa are not as strong for you as they typically are. Typically a tulpa becomes more distinct from its creator as time goes on. Most of a tulpa's actions early on feel very familiar, this sounds like a more accentuated version of that. “There is not enough love and goodness in the world to permit giving any of it away to imaginary beings.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
-BackstaB- September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 >pony I like you. Very interesting post. I would say that's just scentience. Work on actually hearing her, and ask her to help you. Due to her being able to think and comprehend, your in a better position to do this, because you basically have two people to work on the same thing. Because tupla share can see your thought the exact same time you think them. She knows what your going to say. Semi-Nomadic September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 my body may move to her thoughts, like my tongue will try to form the words when I'm not thinking them, or I'll notice a small gesture she would be making if it was her actually speaking So it's not just me! No, I don't think this is anything worrying. We also notice that we'll be finishing each others thoughts, or rather, she'll be finishing my sentences. Tulpae do that. It's annoying sometimes, but cute.

Why'd you have to say that? I've already gone and made her upset! ...... -eyetwitch- Funny, thing is... I didn't know what a tulpa was, or that it existed till about a month ago. >pony I like you. Dawnforge September 26, 2012 Author September 26, 2012 Maybe, knowing me, it'll turn into a wall of text. Knowing Luna... she'll be forcing me to put her comments in there and then we'll end up somehow arguing in the log. Have a good night! 'They call me... Hotel Tulpafornia...' Josh September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 >pony I like you. "Me too! Hehehe" Tulpae do that. It's annoying sometimes, but cute. This is normal. Thoughts are faster than speech.
Bluesleeve September 26, 2012 September 26, 2012 Because your Tulpa and you are one person. As time goes by you will further seperate and that tongue movement might cease after some time. The thing with Tulpas is, they are parts of your unconscious, which you cause to surface through conscious effort. It's no wonder the Tulpa and Host can end each other sentences. If there are other body parts moving apart from your tongue, ask her to pay attention not to move these body parts. You should also actively try to suppress that movement or whatever happens, to prevent unpleasant surprises. It would also be counterproductive if someone sees you making involuntary movements in public. If you don't want this to happen in the future, you will have to work on that now.
