Semi-Nomadic October 3, 2012 October 3, 2012 Do you suppose it would be possible to create a tulpa that is a location, rather than an individual being? A sapient dungeon, a sentient forest, an intelligent island, an actual smart home, or if you're crazy, make the entire wonderland one big tulpa... I'm guessing such a tulpa would be able to modify its own environment within certain limits, and perhaps, for convenience's sake, would have some means of communication, whether by creating magical mouths throughout to talk verbally, or by creating an avatar body (possibly a -tan) so that it can walk around and smite intruders. Though it wouldn't be feasible to visualize/touch-ify it like a normal tulpa. Imagine dedicating hours for every single brick of your castle tulpa.
QB2 October 3, 2012 October 3, 2012 I approve so very much. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Guest Fillyfooler October 3, 2012 October 3, 2012 That sounds pretty awesome. Nova doesn't know if that is possible or not. It would be awesome to impose your city tupla and literally be living in your own little world.
Guest Dookums October 3, 2012 October 3, 2012 So what you're saying is Incarceron? (though probably no one here has read that)

Biotechnology October 3, 2012 October 3, 2012 I remember talking about the possibilities of this in the IRC ages ago... As silly as the idea was everyone concluded that it would of-course be possible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoughtform#Modern_perspective 'I say 'soul making' Soul as distinguished from an Intelligence- There may be intelligences or sparks of divinity in millions- but they are not souls until they acquire identities, till each one is personality itself' -John Keats, 1819

I Don't really see why it wouldn't be possible , really. Then again , i don't really see why anyone would want to do this either.
Oguigi October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 Its possible. But am sure that any shapeshifter can become a island. Then grow a few miles. pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.
Semi-Nomadic October 4, 2012 Author October 4, 2012 you got the idea from Josh's Progress report , didn't you? Never even read it. The idea of an environment tulpa has been thrown about since the early days of April. Wait, let me dig into the archives... [03:24] <+Biotech> could you create a Tulpa.. That is not a humanoid form, but rather a whole environment [03:24] <&Rhyme> yeah [03:24] <&Rhyme> just an entire forest [03:24] <&Rhyme> an entire, talking forest [03:24] <&Rhyme> following you around [03:24] <&Rhyme> 'LOVE ME, BIOTECH [03:24] <&Rhyme> LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY LEAVES' [03:25] <+Stelpa> Rhyme: its hard to even visualize four dots at once... imagine trying to imagine each individual leave of a whole forest 0_0
Koji October 4, 2012 October 4, 2012 So what you're saying is Incarceron? (though probably no one here has read that) I've read it, and I agree more or less. Incarceron is real, it has mass and weight. so not really a tupla. BUT it is implied that the structure itself is sentient. So yeah, an environmental tupla on some level. Kinda. Maybe. http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Koji-and-Catelyn-Of-Deserts-and-Snowmen
