ThatOneGuy May 28, 2012 Author May 28, 2012 There's a reason I didn't write this for three days >_> Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
BrassAndBeauty May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 Not to discount your efforts, but this method sounds, well, incredibly easy. I mean, other methods require you to define the effects a trait will have on the tulpa, but all you say is "imagine a jar slowly filling". Was it as simple as you make it seem? DID YA MISS ME? ThatOneGuy May 28, 2012 Author May 28, 2012 I just let my subconscious handle everything; I suppose it turned out for the best, since Clair is awesome. As for simplicity...well, not quite. The method was simple, but what was actually happening was not simple at all. You see, as I sort of did the whole Jar filling thing I got a sense of something very deep being filled out, as if numerous things were dropping from several large things. I think that by writing down all of the traits and such is actually constraining the subconscious and making things more difficult, especially seeing as how the creators are trying to do the sub-c's work. In a nutshell, it worked rather well for me even if it does seem simpler and/or easier. I dunno anymore; I'm rather tired right now and I'm prone to rambling. I can get a response with more clarity after sleep. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Sheep LI May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 That method sounds quite creative. As for me I outgrew using music to inspire visualization like you did. I want to make a tulpa. That's why I'm here. Tulpa Name: Shai, ✓Personality, ✓Visualization, ✓Touch, ✓Smell, Body Language and Sentience ❑
tulpatalk May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 This is a good method. No bullshit "energy" or anything, just a symbolic visualization to get you through it. Also the defining of minimal traits is good in that it isn't entirely out of control. [Note: Opinions]
gw May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 I'm considering creating a number of cards, each with one attribute written upon it. During each meditation session I'll randomly draw a card and then concentrate on the corresponding attribute. This is to introduce a bit of randomness in the tulpa's development. Hawaiian May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 Will start drawing diagrams, on traits, possibly a trait tree? Using your "umbrella traits" method. Will also create time schedule. Side note: inb4 other people creating signatures about their tulpa status. Blog Current Tulpa status: Debating whether or not to restart tulpa forcing... ;__;
Avalanche May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 I sort of followed the same route accidentally. I made 5 major traits and from each one I brainstormed 4 similar minor traits that branch from the main 5. They were Loyal, Practical, Friendly, Shy and Unsure. (The last two are negatively inclined for balance, there is such a thing, I believe, as too much good). Each trait branched off into 4 minor traits- Dependable, Helpful, Steadfast, Agreeable for Loyal Hardworking, Analytical, Strategic, Considerate for Practical Positive, Caring, Courteous, Mature for Friendly Awkward, Apprehensive, Passive, Quiet for Shy Indecisive, Unfocused, Avoidant, Calm for Unsure. I spent an hour each for the 5 major traits and I am currently halfway through doing 20mins each for the minor traits. I find I'm not really memorising them, I can't reel them off easily, but I do find the general form I talk to and explain the traits to has developed an air and feel. Whenever I see her it's not just that shape I had when I started, I find it easy to look at her and get the feeling that "this person is loyal and friendly, etc". I'm going to spend about 14hours on these traits, before I move on to visualisation. I'm still going to narrate and talk to my tulpa about the traits, so it should take longer to do the personality. I'm not going to stop until I get a response whatever happens. frt
bila bila May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 I think that this method is quite interesting and will give it a go. Right now I'm using various methods to build my tulpa's personality, some of which are mine and others are from guides.
