Couguhl November 13, 2012 November 13, 2012 I've found very little information regarding how to actually transform the tulpa's mindvoice into an actual auditory hallucination. We have absolutely no idea how to do this. I am requesting any advice, information, or tips you may have (or even a guide, if I somehow skipped it). Thank you. Mister_Moniker November 13, 2012 November 13, 2012 I'm not really sure what the process is for changing mindvoice to an audible sound. Dream literally just started talking, audibly, last night. She did it herself, so maybe it has to do more with the tulpa's choice? Moniker, Dream and the ensuing hilarity
Guest November 13, 2012 November 13, 2012 Most well-tested method from what I can gather is fetching the pink noise track from the resources thread and intentionally mismatch-hallucinate the noise into being a voice, fooling yourself into thinking the voice is there.
fennecfoxx November 13, 2012 November 13, 2012 I don't know much about imposition, but using pink or white noise can help. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past

Chupi November 13, 2012 November 13, 2012 The green dots don't appear because of misinterpreting an ambiguous signal. They appear because staring at the pink dots tire out the cells in your retina, which then miss-see the gray when the dot disappears. The actual neural signal coming from the eye includes the green dot; this is biological. A better visual analogy would be watching static on a TV, and trying to see patterns in it. That said, the most I've ever heard in pink noise is the sound of rain, and occasionally running water like in a creek. I think auditory imposition is just one of those things that takes lots of time.
Chupi November 13, 2012 November 13, 2012 Same here. I think auditory imposition is just one of those things that takes lots of time. I'm beginning to get some indistinct sorta-real-sorta-imagined sounding voice occasionally from Lyra. It's not saying anything but accompanies the usual mindvoice or thoughts from her. Definite progress. I think a good deal of what helped is listening to music more. It's making me better able to imagine sound. Earworms are among the easiest auditory hallucinations to get, and the ones I'm getting these days are stronger and more clear than before. Couguhl November 14, 2012 Author November 14, 2012 Damn, these are some good points. Thank you all. Something I just now thought of: whenever one is really tired, he/she begins to hear voices, due to being in a hypnagogic state. Because of this, it is much easier to form them, and convince yourself that it is the entity of your choosing. I've done this before, but I find it really unreliable because I typically lose my train of thought, forget about my tulpa, or just sleep. Either way, pink noise is a must.
