Pleeb May 30, 2012 May 30, 2012 I thought this deserved its own thread. It's an experiment (well, a series of experiment) concerning tulpæ and dreams. Both dreams and tulpæ are believed to come from the subconscious. Naturally, some tulpæ have reported to being able to remember their creator's dreams. Take a moment and ask your tulpa if they can indeed remember your dreams. Next, the first experiment. Tonight, I want you to ask your Tulpa if, when they see you're dreaming, to try and go into your dream. Be sure to have them tell you that you are dreaming. Chances are, if you're not familiar with lucid dreaming, you'll probably just wake up as your dream collapses. However, after a few times and some practice with stabilizing your dream (check out DreamViews for information on that), there are some experiments I'd really like some people to try out. Once you're able to enjoy a lucid dream with your tulpa, there's some interesting experiments that are worth trying: 1. Physical Contact To my understanding, even if your Tulpa is imposed, if you reach out to touch them and apply pressure, your hand goes right through them. Does this still happen in the dream? Will your tulpa be solid? 2. Powers, et al. Can your tulpa alter the dream, alter you, or alter itself? For example, in lucid dreams you can fly. If this is unnatural for your tulpa, can it fly as well in the dream? Some interesting things I'd like to see tried: FlyingSuperhuman(tulpa?) strengthTransformationLandscape alteration Can the tulpa do these things? Can the tulpa do these things TO YOU? 3. Permanent Changes? This is kind of an extension of my Mortality of a Tulpa topic. How dangerous are the dreams to your tulpa? I think glitch said when his tulpa dies in a dream she just wakes up like he would, but I think glitches tulpa has died a few times now and "regenerated" in his wonderland. No, I'm not asking you to try and kill your tulpa in a dream, but I'm curious to see if anything that happens to the tulpa ACTUALLY happens to it. So in your lucid dream, have your tulpa do something like: Have a haircutGet a tattooCut its fingerSomething else that physically would alter the tulpa After you wake up, see if the alteration is still there. If it is, there may be a chance your tulpa could be physically harmed in a dream. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag!
ThatOneGuy May 30, 2012 May 30, 2012 I'll be sure to try out the aforementioned things in an attempt at research. I'll post progress after some experiments. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Pronas May 30, 2012 May 30, 2012 Well, though my tulpa is not complete yet, nor does she talk, I asked her yesterday to enter my dreams if she thinks i'm dreaming. Though I don't even remember if I actually dreamt, she did stay sleeping for a longer time than usual. Usually she wakes up with me (at goddam 5:50a.m), but today she was asleep till 10a.m. COINCIDENCE? Yeah, maybe. just saying.

Isn't it true that Clair isn't imposed yet? This would make things even more interesting for you. I'm sure you can walk with Clair and stuff in your wonderland, and in your mind's eye, but if this works, it means you can walk with her "for real" through the dreamscape. glitchthe3rd May 31, 2012 May 31, 2012 My tulpa can't remember my dreams, and I suck at maintaining a lucid dream state. "Science isn't about why, science is about why not?" -Cave Johnson Tulpae: Luna, Elise, Naomi My progress report
Pleeb May 31, 2012 Author May 31, 2012 I'll have a go and try it out. Wish me luck. Certainly good luck! Be sure to post the results. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag!
Mercurial May 31, 2012 May 31, 2012 I doubt #1 would work. I've heard of a reality check where you attempt to put your finger through your hand; if it goes through you're dreaming. If you can put your finger through your own hand in a dream, there's no way your tulpa would be solid.
ThatOneGuy May 31, 2012 May 31, 2012 Dream recall was good last night. I asked Clair about what dreams I had and she just pretty much told me exactly. No lucid dreaming last night though; working on that still. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.

If you can put your finger through your own hand in a dream, there's no way your tulpa would be solid. You're able to put a finger through your hands in a dream because you're expecting it to work. If you're in a dream and think you won't be able to do it, you won't. That's why many people often struggles to fly in their dreams. They don't think they can do it, thus they won't be able to either. Time tulpaforced: 124 h 00 min Responses:(Possible) different kind of tones
