If you don't want to export it then I see little point to it. So everyone will probably export, so everyone else can see. So it's a facebook/twitter hybrid in my eyes.

So you're basically saying that this site is a twitbook hybrid, as you can see other peoples progress and thoughts?

The software usage thing is good, but what I was getting at is that people would see this and go "so you [in general] need a wonderland, personality traits in a list and scheduled forcing times. Ok then, I'll get right on this". I know you don't need to fill these things in in your app, but it still encourages it. The whole process is a matter of "do what you want, but this stuff works for some people btw". This app would make it seem like you need to, or should be doing each of these things, or at least some of them.

I'm sure he'll have the option to disable certain parts of it.

It's not about disabling certain parts. I just think it's like this- You have an app for helping you set up for a date. (First thing that came to mind). It tells you the best places to buy flowers and a nice suit and the best restaurant and all these different things you can talk about, etc etc.

If the app is really successful, then you'll end up with a lot of dates being the same thing. We don't want that to happen with forcing. People should be able to do it their own way.

The app is a good idea though. I just.. I dunno, I get a bad vibe from it, you know bro? It's way outta wack or sum sheet.

Oh my god I've been waiting for someone to make a tulpa app! I would definitely use it! Please make the windows phone version! <3

I like this, and totally agree with the idea of not making friending and stuff, I see it like a note for yourself about your tulpae and stuff, which you can take with you anywhere. Would love trying it :3

If you can't friend people and share stuff, then why is this a thing?

If you can but don't want to, why are you using it?

If you want to share the info with people, why not just use this site which was specifically set up to help people learn about and talk about this one subject?

If you don't want to export it then you would be using it for tracking what you've done and plan to do with your tulpa. If I weren't doing tulpa research, then this is how I would use it.

And it will only be like facebook/twitter if you post your data on facebook/twitter. It would be like a forum post if you posted it on a forum, or a blog post if you post it there. It really depends on what website you want to post to.

The software usage thing is good, but what I was getting at is that people would see this and go "so you [in general] need a wonderland, personality traits in a list and scheduled forcing times. Ok then, I'll get right on this"

You have a valid point, but there is really no way around this. It's better to include features that some people won't use, than to exclude features that some people will use. Also what DreamCloud said.

Also, I'd like to point out that the integrated website and desktop-to-mobile syncing feature is a big maybe. So don't focus on that. At this point, just assume that desktop and mobile devices won't be talking to each other.

note to Avalanche: as I was typing this, I just saw your most recent post. I believe I've covered everything here.

While it's a good idea and it may help some people, I can see one problem:

The idea seems like systematising tulpa creation.

I think tulpas should be made individually with care and love, rather than manufactured according to a template or assembly procedure.

While it may work, I just think it to be too impersonal for my liking.

Logging process in that kind of detail may take focus away from the tulpa itself and place it on the statistics.

I also think that tulpae may turn out more unique if the process was done entirely mentally.

If the app is really successful, then you'll end up with a lot of dates being the same thing. We don't want that to happen with forcing. People should be able to do it their own way.

Hence why the ability to disable certain parts would exist, so that you could be your own special snowflake. A good idea would be if the dev went and made an introduction that basically asked:

  • What is your tulpas's basic info?
    • Name
    • Form
    • Other stuff in the creation process
    • Image base (Perhaps include Google search/HDD upload function)

[*]Do you use a wonderland? Y/N

    • Y=Would you like to design it now?
      • Wonderland design utility

[*]Do you have a tulpa.info forum account? Y/N

    • Would you like to link it to tulpaForge? Y/N (This is to automatically update your progress reports, and scrobble (?) past updates.
      • Please input your username and password.

And more. By clicking yes/no to certain things, you personalize the application to your personal preferences, and thus people won't be forced/encouraged to do things that they don't currently do. #ya_dig?

If you can't friend people and share stuff, then why is this a thing?

Because this isn't a social networking application. I know at least 1 member, a pretty major one at that, who doesn't show off his progress like its a trophy. If you want to socialize on the internet, go to the facebook thread.

If you can but don't want to, why are you using it?

What?

If you want to share the info with people, why not just use this site

which was specifically set up to help people learn about and talk about this one subject?

Because the site is pretty fragmented right now. Thus, having a place to document your progress in a way that has additional features like wonderland building and such is a great application. Plus, you kind of answered your own question:

people learn about and talk about this one subject?

Unless I'm fucking retarded, I'm pretty sure this application is meant as a progress report application, mainly. The dev has made no mention of any sort of guides/Q&A/GD section. If someone wants those features, the can simply

just use this site

which was specifically set up to help people learn about and talk about this one subject.

Plus, stop assuming that everyone is as social as you, tulpism originated from introverts.

I'm not that social Jimmeh.

As I outlined before, if this app is just to be a progress report application, then why not just use this site? You can access this site from a smartphone, and of course there is a progress report section.

I just don't understand why. Why is this a thing?
