Renfer112 January 6, 2013 January 6, 2013 Quick question, What guide would be best for an ADHD kid? What methods should I use? I realize this has probably been asked a million times, but someone please help me?
Avalanche January 6, 2013 January 6, 2013 Any. I really doubt anyone here can tell you what guide WILL work, or what guide SHOULD work. Only someone else with ADHD could tell you what worked for them, but... It's all down to the individual. None of these guides might work. They help, but you generally do it your own way. Anyone who says "this guide will work" is either lying, plugging their own shit, or misguided in the fact that it just worked for them. frt
Onicron January 6, 2013 January 6, 2013 You should read all the guides. Read at least 3 for the early creation stages and mix them up, use the bits YOU think are important. We never bothered to follow any guides, all I did was force on my own way. waffles January 6, 2013 January 6, 2013 Many people here have ADHD. Given the diagnosis rate (about 10% of all kids in the US have the diagnosis) it's twice as common as being Asian (in the US). There's no need to go special snowflake about it, or reckon that the guides should differ for you. Follow, as usual, whatever guides you like the look of, or that would suit you best, or that work for you.
Kiahdaj January 7, 2013 January 7, 2013 Dammit, waffles. That is almost exactly what I was going to say, save the Asian statistic. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Guest EnnervateIndustries January 7, 2013 January 7, 2013 In all seriousness, all of them. Read as many as you can, then go with a conglomeration of the aspects and practices you like the best.

I realize this has probably been asked a million times, but someone please help me? Correct. It has been asked before. Then why didn't you search? I just want to say that the guides are just that, guides. They are not rules that have to be followed word for word. They just help you get a general idea of what to do. Do what you feel works best. As for the ADHD, I don't know how severely it affects your concentration, but you can try taking breaks every now and then when you're forcing if you can't focus for long.
Guest January 7, 2013 January 7, 2013 ADHD or not, you should probably use my method anyway. And I'm actually being serious. I devised my method the way I did because I'm not the best at focusing on shit for way too long, either.
