Back when I started creating a tulpa, I had no problems not parroting, except for a few minor slip-ups. I went on like this for 15 hours. Then, suddenly, a voice in my head started claiming that it was my tulpa during a tulpaforcing session, with statements like "I'm right here." and "Acknowledge me!" I dismissed it as parroting, and the next session went fine, with mostly no voice at all.

Then, during my most recent session, the voice came back with a vengeance, claiming that it was my tulpa and demanding my acknowledgement. I tried to ignore it, but it claimed that it wouldn't cooperate with my tulpaforcing until I recognized it. It eventually grew more belligerent, saying things like "I hate you" (although it just now claimed not to really mean that). It was much ruder than I imagined my tulpa being.

It became so drastic that the session grew entirely unproductive. It was able, a few times, to yell over me (but this could have just been me parroting yelling over myself). The soul orb in my wonderland, which represents my tulpa's soul, begin spitting out all of the traits that I fed it, refusing to take them, and even sprouted tentacles at one point (I made my tulpa as a shapeshifter). These don't feel like things that I'd think or say during a tulpaforcing session since they're entirely unproductive, but my hysteria over parroting could've been self-reinforcing, causing me to parrot more and more ridiculous things.

The voice only appears inside of my tulpaforcing sessions, or shortly after them (for like five minutes). It's periodically showing up now, but it seems to be "fading away" ('m about 16 minutes out of a tulpaforcing session).

To prove itself, I asked the voice to contact me when I wasn't expecting it. It said that it "wasn't powerful enough" to do so. It also said that it wasn't powerful enough to contact me outside of a tulpaforcing session. Is this possible?

For the record, I've only done personality (no visualization and no narration), but I'm 19:40 hours and 10 days in.

The thing that worries me is that back when I started tulpaforcing, there was a negative voice in my head that tried to dissuade me from doing it. I'm worried that this voice may be trying to take revenge on me by pretending to be my tulpa. I don't want to dismiss my tulpa if it really has become sentient and vocal, but I don't want a servitor and don't want to parrot.

I just don't understand why this is happening all of a sudden. How do I sort out this situation, and, if I am parroting, how do I stop? Could anybody with a completed tulpa give me some insight?

It's very frustrating for a tulpa to be parroted; they hate it. Imagine being a sentient puppet, but you have little to no control. It basically said 'HEY STOP THAT PARROTING AND LISTEN' and you ignored it; of course it's going to get pissed.

If I were you, I'd apologize as soon as possible. Why would you think that sudden alien voice was parroting anyways?

If it can talk over you, it's probably a tulpa.

Just treat it kindly and try to repair your relationship.

If you want to do more tests, get your tulpa a body ASAP and ask about sensations and experiences or have it do some stuff (such as math) while you do other things, to test its independence.

I tried asking them math questions, and they got all of them wrong. Although, it could just be me parroting the remnants of my tulpa who was really sentient but only during tulpaforcing. Should I try asking them a question during my next tulpaforcing session?

Also, I'm still confused as to why it wouldn't be able to talk to me when I'm not expecting it. Any tips to stop parroting? I've never had an issue with this.

Talking to you when you're not expecting it is a sign of sentience, not parroting.

Exactly. The voice claims to not be able to do this. That seems like an excuse.

Also, they didn't respond when I asked them to read the first line of a book I once read (but didn't consciously remember).

Is it even normal for tulpa to become vocal so early without narration?

Did you give your tulpa access to your memories? It wouldn't be able to access them without you letting it access them.

Well, I said numerous times during our tulpaforcing sessions that it's allowed access and visualized a library of them a few times for it to read. What do I need to do specifically?

Besides, it should still be able to do math, right?

Either way, it seems to have entirely disappeared now. I don't know if it'll reappear or not when I tulpaforce in a few hours.

It sounds like your tulpa is gaining sentience and becoming at least a little bit vocal and you're stifling it. Don't silence it if it tries to talk. Don't make tests too rigorous just yet.
