Shouldn't it be able to read my subconscious? It's not that complicated of a skill anyway.

They do have to learn them. Even language is learned, fastly as it may be. How much you and the tulpa share in skills vary, but don't expect your tulpa to share your skills. It should however have access to your memories, so if you trust it, give it access to your memories and see if it can find interesting stuff for you that you're unable to.
