Guest June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 It sounds like your tulpa is gaining sentience and becoming at least a little bit vocal and you're stifling it. Don't silence it if it tries to talk. Don't make tests too rigorous just yet. Well, even if it were becoming only a bit vocal, would it make sense for them to only be able to do so during tulpaforcing/when I'm thinking about them/tulpa? Also, if I am going to encourage their development now, what do I do? I have remaining traits that I still haven't gone over. Do I throw them out and start narration?
Guest June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 Also, I can't really determine if it feels unambiguously "alien" or not.
ThatOneGuy June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 Keep going with adding more traits and such. A little bit of vocalization/sentience doesn't mean that you should just quit the current stage. And them only being vocal during times when you're focusing on them strongly seems very logical. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.

Guest June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 Also, if they couldn't do math, why wouldn't they just say so instead of giving completely wrong answers? They were confident too.
NotAnonymous June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 Also, if they couldn't do math, why wouldn't they just say so instead of giving completely wrong answers? They were confident too. Why would they be able to do math if they haven't learned that skill yet? Just ask them to describe their thought process while doing said math.
Guest June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 Also, if they couldn't do math, why wouldn't they just say so instead of giving completely wrong answers? They were confident too. Actually, I did make confidence one of their personality traits... Why would they be able to do math if they haven't learned that skill yet? Just ask them to describe their thought process while doing said math. They could've just told me that they couldn't do it.
Guest June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 Actually, I did make confidence one of their personality traits... They could've just told me that they couldn't do it. So either they responded because you expect them to be confident, or they responded because they feared that not responding would be bad. Just keep at it and if it's a real tulpa, it should be able to show some form of independent/passive action. Servitors can still become tulpae, given sufficient effort, so don't worry too much.
Guest June 3, 2012 June 3, 2012 I tulpaforced again. During the session, I "fed" my tulpa my knowledge of a certain mathematical skill. It still couldn't get any problems right, despite insisting that it could. I'm pretty confident that it was parroting now. The voice was almost entirely gone during my most recent tulpaforcing session.
