Robo June 4, 2012 June 4, 2012 Okedoke, where to start... I did this stuff for some time before I knew what it was called. Though I was a notorious parroter apparently, now that I know what the word for it is. I've created a few psudotulpae, but they always end up getting killed after awhile by some random force, usually taking the form of an enemy of some kind. it disappears soon afterword. I had gotten so sick of it I quit forcing for some time until I saw a thread on another forum about this. I started creating a place for my tulpa, a library of sorts full of my memories so they could just read through the books. a librarian appeared unprompted, just dropped out of the sky while I was tweaking the gravity and terminal velocity of the area. she appeared semi-sentient, even though I'm fairly sure I was parroting a few responses. I left the area to write down what I experienced. then I went back to make sure she was still there, she was, for about three seconds. Then she was cut in half by the enemy that has taken a shadow form of myself for his own. this guy has been messing around in my head for years, and is the majority reason I've quit forcing so many times. I don't think I'll be able to make anything until this guy is taken care of somehow. I've tried capturing him, but he turns into a black ooze and slinks away. I've tried freezing him, but he always manages to get enough of himself away that it doesn't matter. It's just annoying really. I don't think he can really do a lot of damage, but I can't make him go away, and I can't make anything until he's gone. any advice would be great so I can start this blog with some actual entries. Thanks.
glitchthe3rd June 4, 2012 June 4, 2012 Cook yourself up some weapons and kill him. Failing that, you might try sitting down with him for tea and crumpets, and discussing your problems like civilized gentlemen. Also is your name a reference to Chrono Trigger? G|d30n June 4, 2012 June 4, 2012 The best method I can recommend to get rid of bothersome things that come up during any sort of visualization exercise--be it forcing or meditation or whatever--is to realize that it's all in your head and not entertain it. An attempt to capture or combat it would just reinforce the idea that it's real. The best thing you can do is remind yourself that it isn't, and that you're in control of your visualizations. As with all constructs of the mind--tulpae included--ignoring it will make it go away. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.
Robo June 4, 2012 Author June 4, 2012 Yeah, that's probably a good idea, Considering I've already tried killing him multiple times, I'll have to just sit down with him and ask what he wants. I wish my name was a reference to Chrono Trigger, I just thought of the name randomly and used it online ever since. Imagine my surprise when I ended up playing the game and... what? that robot has my name?! so THAT'S why it's always taken on popular forums! I had actually forgotten about this guy until recently, whenever I think about him, even if the thought just crosses my mind, he shows up. I'm probably just going to see if I can talk it out.

Treating him like he's real will just make him feel more real. Just ignore him. Don't even think about or acknowledge him. It might take a month but he will go away. He's not real and nothing productive can come from treating him like he is. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.

Robo June 5, 2012 Author June 5, 2012 Ok, The ignoring thing seemed to work like a charm. I haven't had time to really confirm it, but It feels like it worked. I've planned out my tulpa for the most part, as well as the wonderland I'm planning on making. I'll just transcribe what I wrote in my journal for the most part. I'm thinking about making a Reploid-esque tulpa. I'm going to make it a female. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for personality programming, perhaps just give a general idea and tweak a few things here and there before sentience. I want to have a small blue upside-down triangle-cut sapphire in her forehead and Reploid armor (that I have yet to design or think about) and I'm going to have that be removable so it can be upgraded, changed, and repaired if needed. I'm going to augment/re-make the library that I cleared when the entity, henceforth known as the annoyance for ignoring reasons, appeared. Rather than give it a traditional look, I'll make it more futuristic, and have the books be both physical (or as physical as a book in your head can be) and digital (with a plug on the spine) so that they can be experienced by plugging them into any kind of cybernetics. I'm planning on her purpose to be the following: 1. Companionship (no, not like that) 2. Lucid Dream Aid 3. Memory Supplement (because I have such a bad memory it's not even funny.) Preferably in that order.
G|d30n June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 Props on making a reploid. I considered something similar, and even considered mixing two fictions and making a Reploid Turien at one point, but once I got into personality she felt human so I just decided to make a human. Though, I reserve the right to give her a battle armor outfit to wear at any time. Glad to hear ignoring it is helping though. I've had bothersome things pop up in the past during visualizations too. I haven't so much run into this during forcing, but I've been doing visualizations semi-daily for about nine years and it used to happen. I've more or less found that treating nothing as real (except your tulpa during forcing) is the best policy. Sounds like you've got the right motivations for making your tulpa so I'm looking forward to seeing her development. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.
Robo June 5, 2012 Author June 5, 2012 Thanks Gideon (That's how you pronounce your name right?) I'm looking forward to her creation as well. I've made it a personal policy to allow my creations to name themselves as well. I eagerly await the day she chooses a name for herself. Forcing progress: Start time: 8:38PM End time: 8:50PM Total time: 12 minutes Goal: Augment/Create Library Progress: Library re-fabricated, dark mist banished from ceiling, replaced with skylights. Books linked to memories, too blurry to read currently. can't even make out titles. should improve with time. Discovered an annoyance, Ignored. Status: Needs more work and organizing, but got the heavy lifting done for the most part it seems. will see if it is still stable tomorrow. Mild headache.
Guest June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 I am terribly sorry for making all these "WTF" posts, but... Start time: 8:38PM End time: 8:50PM Total time: 12 minutes>12 minutes Spend more time. Jesus.
