Flexionsensor March 3, 2013 March 3, 2013 I'm not going to say that it can't happen, because everybody's already done that, so if you really want to find out, get an old person to make a tulpa and then watch him die slowly. If this is true, watch in horror as his possessed body slowly rots away and his poor tulpa is in constant pain for the rest of its life, if it isn't, then feel bad. "DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!" Shameless self promotion!
Guest Albatross_ March 3, 2013 March 3, 2013 Take a psychology class for once and don't start sprouting stuff you don't know about. If you lurked more you would know that what you are glibly dismissing is a viewpoint that is held by the majority of the community.
Lacquer March 4, 2013 March 4, 2013 That certain "brain cells" hold the consciousness/personality of each person in the brain? That's plain bullshit, and I really don't think the rest of the community shares that idea.
Kiahdaj March 4, 2013 March 4, 2013 That certain "brain cells" hold the consciousness/personality of each person in the brain? That's plain bullshit, and I really don't think the rest of the community shares that idea. I gotta go with Lacquer here, Albatross. That is complete bullshit, and quite frankly, even if the majority of the members thought that, it doesn't make it any less bullshit. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Nobillis March 4, 2013 March 4, 2013 Some people have theorized switching with the tulpa than committing ego death/ego suicide. It wouldn't work in my opinion. If you are a tulpa you are not going to let your human go. Doubly so if you are switched you are going to keep the body alive as long as it takes to get your human back. It is frinkin' painful to live a human life, but if that's what you have to do you will do it. Those who consider ego'cide really are greatly underestimating how attached tulpas feel to their humans. Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.
